Most sim cards are located under the battery. remove the back of the phone, then remove battery, you should see a place for the sim card, just slide it in but make sure you put it face down and the right way round, theres usually a little diagram showing the correct way

How do you open the case to install RAM?

Instructional steps
  • RAM
  1. Determine what kind of RAM you need, and whether your computer has enough open slots to hold it. The new RAM should match the existing RAM's specifications and configuration.
  2. Shut down the computer and leave it plugged into the surge suppressor.
  3. install-ram-1.3-120x120.jpg Disconnect all peripheral devices, such as the monitor, from the computer.
  4. install-ram-1.4-120x120.jpg Remove the computer cover.
  5. Ground yourself to the computer with professional grounding equipment like an anti-static wristband or hold a metal part of the chassis.
  6. Remove any cards or internal components necessary to give yourself unobstructed access to RAM sockets.
  7. install-ram-1.7-120x120.jpg Pick up your SIMM (single in-line memory module) or DIMM (dual in-line memory module) by the ends without touching pins or chips.
  8. install-ram-1.8-120x120.jpg If adding a SIMM, find the notched end and turn the SIMM so that it is parallel to the existing RAM card(s). Insert the SIMM into the socket at a 30-degree angle. If adding a DIMM, insert the DIMM straight in so that it is perpendicular to the motherboard.
  9. Use slight pressure to keep a SIMM from backing out while rotating the module to an upright position perpendicular to the motherboard.
  10. Make sure the small holes on each side of a SIMM fit into holders
  11. install-ram-1.11-120x120.jpg Feel or hear retaining clips lock a SIMM into the socket; close the side clips on a DIMM.
  12. 1 Gently try to pull the module out to ensure it is locked in position.
  13. Replace all internal components.
  14. Leave the cover off and reconnect the monitor, keyboard and mouse.
  15. Turn on the computer.
  16. Check the amount of RAM by right-clicking the My Computer icon in Windows and choosing Properties. On a Mac, use the About this Macintosh command in the Apple menu.
  17. If you don't see the right amount of RAM, turn off the computer and try "reseating" the SIMM or DIMM (take it out and put is back in) and reboot. If that doesn't work, call a technician.
  18. Shut down the computer and disconnect the peripherals again.
  19. install-ram-1.19-120x120.jpg Replace the cover and reconnect all the peripherals.

My safelink phone have sribble number&letters when i make a call i need a new phone how do i get it.

There are two ways that you can solve this problem, so here they are.

First Option:
You can call Safelink's Customer Service Number at either 1-800-378-1684 or 800-723-3546 and explain to them what your situation is and have them send you a replacement phone by snail-mail. If you do not want to wait for a new phone to come in the mail, then scrow down to option two. If customer service tries to give you any **** about charging you for a new phone, politely tell them that you wish to cancel your service and that you will use Assurance Wireless instead as Assurance offers 200 free minutes over Safelink's 68 free minutes. More details on Assurance is at http://www.assurancewireless.com/Public/Welcome.aspx

Second Option:
If you do not want to wait for a new Safelink phone to come in the mail and you actually have some money to spare, simply go to any retailer like Big Lots, Wal-Mar or any other retailer that sells the Tracfone Pre-Paid Wireless Phones and purchase a new Tracfone Pre-Paid Phone. Next, remove the battery cover and the battery from the old phone. You will see a little white card underneith the metal sheilding. This is callled the SIMM card. Simply slide the SIMM card out from the underneith the shield to remove it from the old phone. Now, repeat the same procedure described with the new phone and remove that SIMM card as well. Once you have removed both SIMM cards, simply take the SIMM card that came out of your old phone and insert it in your new phone. Replace the battery and cover and power up your new phone. The network will recognize your SIMM card and give you the same minutes that you had with your old phone and your same phone number.

I need a puk code for samsung s-3650 can not use it without it.

If you enter your SIMM password wrong a few times (3 in general), your SIMM will be lock: contact your Mobile phone Service provider help desk who should be abel to give you the specific SIMM card 'PUK' code.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ENTER INVALID CODE as after usually 10 tries, your SIMM CARD WILL BE DESTROYED and need replacement simm at a (substantial) cost!

My Motorola Krazr is telling me to Insert SIM.Its says I can only make emergency numbers. What do i do?

BrutherG,
I was getting the same message after charging the phone and powering it back up.  I do not remember ever touching the Simm card but somehow I had entered it with the 45 degree corner cut-off viewable after insertion which is the wrong orientation.  The end of the card with the corner cut-off is inserted first and will become hidden from view.
Another suggestion is to take a thing swab of alcohol and clean off both the Simm card contacts as will as the round contacts in the phone.  Make sure you gently blow dry the contacts with non-heated air before replacing the Simm card and battery.  I think the real issue all along was contacts slightly covered with a film that was making the phone think it lacked a Simm card altogether.
Hope this helps!
