Question about Refrigerators

1 Answer

I have model # RS2630WW Samsung regrigerator making a lot of noise that seems to be coming from the back panel area. When I remove the 8 screws, it's seems to be coming from the fan. (I disconnected the wire connecting the fan to the compressor and the noise stops.) It sounds like it could be the compressor, except for removing the wire connection. I tried moving the fan blades manually, and it seemed like the noise would come from the fan. Could any of the moving parts from the fan need lubrication? If so, what kind? Or is it something else? The noise is only there when the fan works.

Is it a squeaking noise coming from the fan? I have the same problem.

I have tried looking to see if the fan blades are hitting anything (the plastic fan housing, ice as someone suggested), but nothing.

I have tried lubricating the fan, and it does solve the problem for a short time, but it always comes back. I will probably have to take the entire fan housing out to find the problem.

Fan can not be lubricated and they can get noisy.
however, a common reason is the fan blades hitting ice that has built up. check for this

I have samsung french door refrigerator 2 door 2 drawer with vibrating a noise. I have removed the back panel and the noise does not seem to be cominng from this area. any suggestions.

We have a different model Samsung, and I've heard a vibrating or buzzing noise twice. First, if the water filter isn't an exact fit (even Samsung's filters rattle), it will rattle. Second, if either of the ice makers gets stuck or jammed, it can make a vibrating noise. If our freezer drawer isn't making a good seal, ice will build up under the drawer or in the slides. Ours makes more of a humming noise, when this happens. Other areas to check: something stuck in the runner of your drawers or shelves (if yours pull out). There are also vents that draw air in and out of the cooling unit, and things in front of them may vibrate or rattle, too.

This is a sure sign of pending compressor failure (high heat and head pressure, Since that 2 inch section comes directly from the compressor. For verification,
Remove the back cover, and place your hand on the compressor.(careful, may be hot) should be able to leave your hand on compressor without burning.
Check condensor fan in that same area , It may be not running
causing all the trouble

there is a evaporator defrosting problem; ice building-up. the evap fan is mounted right on top of the evap coil. this will get progressively worse; and, the fan will get completely jammed with ice; and stop altogether. your fridge will get warm and the freezer will not cool properly. you should get it looked at asap..

Best way to access AC compressor on 2006 Jetta to replace it?

e61f732.jpg
1. Make sure the vehicle is off with key removed.
2. You need to evacuate the refrigerant with a refrigerant recovery system.
3. Remove the ribbed belt.
4. Remove the noise insulation beneath the engine.
5. Remove the bolts (1) from A/C compressor and disconnect refrigerant lines.
6. Remove hex screws (2) and remove the compressor.

Reinstall in reverse order making sure the bushings (3) are seated. Make sure your new compressor is filled with regrigerant oil prior to install and you do not start the car prior to filling it back up with regrigerant. Turn the ribbed belt pulley of A/C compressor 10 rotations by hand before starting the engine.

How do I remove the back panel from a samsung LN-408D? I have removed all of the screws, but the panel doesn't seem to come off.

Samsung LCD TVs has 12-16 screws that need to be removed before taking back off.

Dont forget the screws that hold the connection panel (SCART, HDMI, etc) and the bottom screws that hold the stand. These are screws i missed when i first opened my Samsung TV.

Good luck !

Noise on the ice maker

I think you are having the same issue that I am having. My noise is being caused due to ice build up around the fan inside the freezer. There is a switch when you open the door that causes the fan to shut off, hence the reason the noise stops when you open the door.

I pulled the cover (just below the ice maker) and removed the ice that had built up. Only problem is that after three days the noise is back. I think there may be a bigger problem that is causing the ice to build up around the fan.

Fridge has just started making loud noise and temp too high

sound like that you have a ice build up thats hitting your fan blade. Take and do a manual defrost on the frig side and be extra careful removing the cover in the back because there's 11 screws that have to come out before trying to remove the back poanel. Also if theres stillo ice in there what happens is that when you try to pull the back panel off it breaks off the stryrofam that samsung used for the air paths to cool the frig. so be extra carefull removing theses and if oyu do tear any and the airflow is not going the corect way you will drive yourself bonkers always defrosting htis unit. so heed my warning on this particular unit. its a great unit if you can psture what has to happen for the air flow to be correct. also put all of the screw back in correctly on the panel too. don't skip any because then the air flow is compromised. Good Luck and don't forget to rate the answer please. Haooy Neew Year!!!

Samsung frost free fridge freezer ices bottom of freezer

it means that the freezer heater is bad, it's located after you remove the racks from the freezer and removing the back panel, it's at the bottom or below the condenser.

Fridge and Freezer do not keep foods cool

Samsung rs2630ww i have had endless problems i have had it replaced 4 times. red hot center and side panels i have had 2 condensers burn. the problem is that it is simply badly designed!
there is not enough air flow . so if it has any restriction it kills the unit. a Samsung tech told me off the record these units are all problematic! of course he love it at 200 an hour.
