Simply square the conversion factor between feet and metres to get the conversion factor between square feet and square metres.

To my knowledge the TI-83 doesnt do conversions.

1 metric ton = 0.984206528 long tons, so if you just multiply that number by the number of metric tons, you will get your converted number.

Sorry there isnt a built in parameter to my knowledge. If you upgrade to the TI-85, I believe you start to get some of that functionality!
