Keurig b60

Keurig brewers are great little machines but from time to time they all need a little TLC. The brewers have countless components that must all work together to deliver the perfect cup. Most common problems with these machines are caused by calcium/lime buildup. If you've tried the manufacture's suggested vinegar descalation methods to no avail, give this a try. PRESSURIZED WATER FLUSH: - Unplug machine, remove water reservoir & set aside. - locate water inlet opening (this is the hole in which the reservoir drains) - using your garden hose, place nozzle flush with water inlet opening, direct water stream into this opening while slowly increasing water flow. - BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET ELECTRONICS OF THE MACHINE WET - water should begin pouring from beverage dispenser & overflow/reservoir pipe. - continue flushing machine for 30 seconds. You may notice chalky white particles in the water flowing from machine (this stuff is the cause of your problems). Your machine should be as good as new now! Repeat process is problems persist. You may also use compressed air to clean the machine and other commercial descalation products.

Gevalia 12 cup coffee maker slow brewing

The pipes are blocked with build up scale or water dirt. You can try to descale the machine by adding in the water half cup of lemon juice and brew it without coffee leave if for 20 min and the clean it by brew it with fresh water these will make a diference then try this again in a week.

How do you descale

Since you don't specify what type of machine you have, these directions are a bit general: Run a solution of white vinegar and water through the machine, turning it off 1/2 way through the cycle and let it sit for 20 min to 1 hr. Then turn it back on and let the rest of the solution brew through. Dump that, rinse off the carafe, brew basket or whatever parts are removeable, are run a brew cycle with just water Different makers will tell you different amounts of each to use, but I usually mix about 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar, sometimes more vinegar. Don't use all vinegar, there's no reason to waste it, and less than 1/2 vinegar won't work very well. It depends on what kind of machine you''re descaling for the total amount of water/vinegar mix you would use... if it's a 4 c. Mr. Coffee, I do the whole pot. If it's a 12 cup coffee maker I use about 4or 5 cups of the mixture. Something like a Keurig is a bit more tedious - same general directions, but after rinsing the water holder, run clean water through the brewer several times before making coffee again.

Why is my coffeemaker taking more than 4 minutes to brew a pot of coffee

  1. Be sure that your SPEEDBREW® Coffeemaker brew control dial is set to 'Brew Regular' when brewing regular coffee. Please note that using the 'Brew Decaf' setting will slow the brewing process. It is recommended that the 'Brew Decaf' setting be used when brewing decaffeinated coffee.
  2. Your SPEEDBREW® Coffeemaker may need to be cleaned.

Coffee pot turns stops brewing in the middle of the cycle

Yup thats the Ticket - EASY FIX -
you have to clean the insides too people... lol.. The best way to do it is to buy citric acid crystals available from your local pharmacy. who knew huh? a couple of tablespoons in distilled water. Brew half the pot and let it sit for 30 min the brew the rest of the pot. Notice the color of your water after your done brewing. probably green from copper.. I could go into much more detail but thats the short answer... brew another pot or two of just plane ole water and bang your good go.. You should do this every month with any coffee pot for better tasting coffee..
