There could be a number of reasons causing this malfunction, try replacing the subwoofer's cord, it might be damaged, you can also try reseting the system to the factory settings according to the following instructions:
Reset Instructions:
1. Press the power button to turn off the power
2. Press the power button while pressing the ENTER button. (note: this will reset all memory)
