For some reason; my camera suddenly has a white screen and i cannot see anything else on the screen. I can still take photos, and connect it to the computer, the battery is completley charged and the flash still works - i just cant see anything on the screen. Please help!
I would suggest trying a new set of batteries. Probably won't make a difference but its worth a try. Screen will not come on after taking a picture to preview it if the battery is getting low but will work looking through the pictures.
try, also, different memory card

Normally there are two reasons for the given problem.
1). Bad or defective CCD. and/or
2). shutter not working.
in
the first case the only solution is the replacement of the CCD. Please click HERE
And in
the later case sticking of shutter blade, non functioning of shutter
blade will cause the problem. This can be rectified by sending it to
some repairer.
ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.
That is actually the exact same thing I am experiencing but mine has grey lines on the display window. I was able to take photos to a grey screen connect it to my comp...low and behold my pics showed....I am furious....need some answers as I will never hear the end of it from my daughter.
Can you see them menu's on the screen or the image in the LCD before you take the photos?
Try putting the memory card into a computer and review the photos. Do they look the same on the computer as they do the screen? If they look the same on a computer screen as they do on the camera's LCD screen you have a bad CCD.
If you see the image you should see you can have anything from a loose cable to a bad LCD screen in the camera.
I also have the same problem! I absolutely love this camera but suddenly out of the blue I have stripy lines on the screen that look like you are looking through a venetian blind. I have contacted Fuji but they say it will cost £99 to repair or have offered £50 discount on any other camera. I just want my F460 working ok. Please, please can anyone help us?
If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality
variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure
cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid,
because the camera shutter fault.
Blank white - suggests a dislodged connector
These tend to be at the base of the screen gentle
massaging and pressure may re establish it.

I have Fuji FinePix 2650 Digital camera with same problem. I can almost guarantee this is not a firmware problem. I went mountain biking a few months ago and take pictures. I take out camera and turn on. I get lines then white screen. I banged on camera and fixed it. Later a few weeks ago I turn it on and white screen. i beat this thing and get bad menu selection screen for a moment then white again. It takes pictures well and talk to computer no problem but no LCD picture. I thinking it is loose connection for LCD. Send it for repair or if you seek adventure try to fix it yourself!
