There is a normal setting of the thermostat for the fridge and freezer and you can select the fridge setting to be lower than normal than what is set presently.
If there is no change then the thermostat is not cutting off the cooling and so there is no control of temperature within the fridge. Allow the lowest setting of the thermostat in the fridge section to confirm this fault.

If you open the back panel of your freezer box you will see that too much ice has accumulated and the ice is probably sometimes touching the motor; that is the cause of the noise;

what you need is to let that ice melt and the noise will go away

you dont need to replace your refridgerator or change the motor or buy any parts; good luck

My Hotpoint FUFL1810P that keeps beeping and the lights inside are flashing when the door is opened, I have reset by turning the power off and on again and also by turning the freezer switch off and on....

Something to think about from the manual for your freezer. Also I would check the temperature of your freezer with a thermometer to make sure it is freezing ok .Troubleshooting
If the appliance does not work, before calling for Assistance (see
Assistance), check for a solution from the following list.
The green POWER indicator light does not illuminate.
• The plug has not been inserted into the electrical socket, or not
far enough to make contact, or there is no power in the house.
The motor does not start.
• The appliance comes with a motor protection control (
see Start-
up and use
).
The indicator lights are on but the light is dim.
• Pull out and reverse the plug before putting it back in the socket.
a) The alarm sounds.
a) The refrigerator door has remained open for more than two
minutes (the buzzer will stop sounding when you shut the door) or
the correct switching-off procedure was not followed (
see
Maintenance
).
b) The alarm sounds and the two yellow indicator lights
flash.
b) The temperature in the freezer is too high. Check the quality of
the food products and dispose if necessary.
+ buzzer =
Heating is excessive
c) The alarm sounds and the two yellow indicator lights
as well as the green one flash.
c) The temperature in the freezer has reached a dangerous level.
The food must be disposed immediately.
+ buzzer =
Heating danger
b/c)
In both these cases the freezer will maintain a temperature of
about 0°C so that the food does not re-freeze.
To turn off the acoustic signal open and close the refrigerator door.
To restore normal operation bring the FREEZER OPERATION knob
setting to
(off) and turn the appliance on again.
The green POWER indicator light flashes.
• The appliance is not operating correctly. Contact the Technical
Assistance Centre.
The refrigerator and the freezer do not cool well.
• The doors do not close properly or the seals are damaged.
• The doors are opened too frequently.
• The OPERATION knobs are not on the correct setting (
see
Description
).
• The refrigerator or the freezer have been over-filled.
The food inside the refrigerator is beginning to freeze.
• The REFRIGERATOR OPERATION knob is not on the correct
setting (
see Description
).
• The food is in contact with the back inside wall of the refrigerator.
The motor runs continuously.
• The SUPER FREEZE button has been pressed (rapid freezing):
the yellow SUPER FREEZE light is on or flashing (
see
Description
).
• The door is not closed properly or is continuously opened.
• The outside ambient temperature is very high.

Fridge is freezing....

The way you've stated your problem is confusing? The temperature is the freezer should be 5 degrees F or below, preferably at 0 degrees F. The refrigerator side should be anywhere from 34 - 38 degrees F, What exactly is the problem your having, fresh food not cooling but freezer works ok?

Jenn-Air JCD2389G Side by Side Refrigerator Damper Door fell off. How do I put it back and what will happen if I cant?

Not knowing exactly how you broke it off, its hard to say just how its supposed to go back on. Since these are usually screwed into place, or in some cases its a snap tight fit, something is definitely broken, and you will likely need to replace the damper door. If you do not fix this properly, you will not be able to adjust the fresh food temperatures, and in fact you may freeze your refrigerated food, or it may be not cold enough to keep food fresh at all.

The alarm on my westinghouse WSE6100WA side by side refrigerator keeps on beeping, even though the temperature of the freezer has been set to the lowest possible. does anyone know why this is happening and...

Hi I have this same problem. The seals are all fine. I tried taking the back panel off the freezer. There was a little bit of ice there but not much. I defrosted it as suggested here. I also cleaned the coils on the back. Things will freeze, but it never gets to the desired -14 degrees Celsius, so it beeps regularly.

Fridge compartment is freezing food/milk etc

Sir, To solve this problem, you must open the compressor area at the back bottom of the refrigerator and chek the temperature of the pressure line. If the temperature is between 55celcius to 60 than its ok. Or else you need to change the refrigerant. I suggest you to contact the service authority.

Thanks for contacting Fixya.

Freezer not working

Your refrigerator has a Control-defrost,adaptive timer ,PC board part number 241508001
This is providing your model is the one listed above your post WRS3R3EW. The model you listed in post does not come up. Until we can determine that the freezer is not defrosting you need to unplug and remove the back panel of freezer compartment to see if the evaporator coils are frozen or clear. If frozen this alone will cause a chain reaction that keeps vents to fresh food compartment open and cause freezing in that area. Go to link below and enter model number WRS3R3EW0 Then you will see a list of diagrams on left side, chose #11 this will show the control parts. Click link below Thanks, Sea Breeze

Westinghouse Wse6100WA side by side Fridge-icing up/not cooling

This is a bad design flaw, the fridhe is cooled by fan forced air from the freazer. Two ducts vent into and out of the fridge fron the freezer and ice can block them up (which you can find if you take off all the plastic at the top and back of the fridge).
Hence, when they block up, the frindge does not cool, hence the thermostat tells the fridge to keep running which makes the freezer colder and colder, making the blockage worse.

You need to not only fully defrost the freezer (which can be done quicker by removing the plastic panel in the back of the freezer and using a hairdryer) BUT also fully dry the fridge before turning it back on.
To stop it happening again, avoid puting unvovered liquids or hot items in the fridge. Also avoid leaving the fridge and freezer doors open for long especially in humid conditions. As I said, it's a bad design.
