Error H03 I got the H03 error message. The motor makes a high pitch noise like it's trying to work. I think I need to replace the motor, but I can't get it off the green board to put in a new one. Any thoughts? Motor part #BKL2EO3KA

Re: Error H03

I have had this problem for 2 years, hanging up. mine was replaced.... 3 weeks later same problem. I take out the disc and very GENTLY press one direction or the other to free it up. works great for a whole movie or several movies in a row. A small amount of electronic lube helps, just make sure you don't get it near the laser head or it will mess things up. Just clean it off real well if you get some on it.

Re: Error H03

H03 indicates a traverse servo problem. This may be a problem with the kicker mecha which moves the pickup back and forth in the sled path of the traverse assembly. The kicker may not be moving the pickup back to home position to read the disc TOC when you reloaded the disc to try to get it to play again. It may be something as simple as dried lubrication on the mechanical parts, which can happen especially in smokey or dusty environments. It can also be due to a failure in the kicker motor or breaks on the connection to this motor. Whatever it may be, the player does require repair and an examination for an estimate will help to nail down what's going on to cause a traverse error H03 code

Please help me to solve the problem with error H03 of DVD-LX8. Thanks a lot.

These H errors may refer to either the laser pickup or spindle motor or both. In this case, H03 and H07 are both spindle motor related. The only trouble is that this part is not serviceable, you cannot dissect it to clean it etc., so it must be replaced (most models I have dealt with have the laser/spindle motor as one part - known as a traverse unit) along with the laser which is also part of this device.

If you cannot hear any discs spinning when you load them, and you should be able to, then the motor within the traverse unit has given out. This can be expensive to replace unfortunately. I advise that you probably take the player to a repair shop - preferably an authorised Panasonic agent, get a free quote and make a decision afterwards as to what you wish to do.

Error code H03.

To my knowledge Panasoni Error Code H03 indicates mechanical failure, more specifically, the traverse servo motor. Simply stated, the eye cradle could no longer slide back and forth along the slider bar. Corrective measure requires cleaning and application of appropriate light lubricant. Vaseline oil would do for the time bieng. Pls refer to the diagram below.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

H03 Error

This problem is the laser optics in the wrong position.

Try to move it carefully by hand to the left near the spindle.

It may be stuck on the right side.

Please let us know what you see!

Portable dvd player h03 what to do fix it?

this error code means that there is something wrong with the laser lens most portable dvd players over time get weak motors or lenses you may try to take a small cloth or cotton ball and move the lens back and forth from the spindle to the end then place it as close to the spindle as you can then turn it on and you might be good to go! if not then you have a bad motor and may have to replace it! hope this helps!

H03 Error & Disc Tray Error

Most likely the tray for your player came out of aligment, this happens when someone pushes on the tray to close it, instead of using the "Open/Close" button, you need to take it to somebody to realign the disc tray.

Panasonic DVD ls 850 H03 Code error, how to solve this problem

H03 is a mech problem if I remember you need to take the bottom cover off and remove the mechanical assy (laser chassis) then you need to clean the worm gear (this is the gear that moves the laser back and forth) even the littlest amount of dirt will jame this gear and make the unit go into H03 Mode

Panasonic dvd-ls91 erro code H03

I experienced the same dreaded H03 error code recently. The fix was simple:

Open the DVD lid. In the center is the black plastic spindle. To the right of the spindle is the laser reader which slides from side to side.

When my player was in error mode, the laser reader was stuck in the far right position on the track. To fix the problem, gently, but firmly push the laser reader to the right until it clicks in to proper position. For mine, I pushed it to the right about an eighth of an inch before it clicked.

Insert a disc, and turn the player on. This should fix the problem, at least it did with mine.
