Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
goodluck!

### In my random sample I found 15 worms and 6 lady bugs in my pile of dirt.in my backyard I have a total of 1,200 worms.what do I know about the sample?What do I know about the population?how many total...

Oh geeze,, you have 480 ladybugs in all?!!!
That makes a total combined population of 1,680 critters!
And why did you only take a 1.25% sample?!!

But maybe ladybugs like living in dirt piles better than other backyard areas, so you might not have that many! ;)

### Logarithm

The Casio FX-300MS does not provide base 2 logarithms as a single key operation. However, you can use the natural logarithm (ln, base e = 2.7182818...) and the formula

log2 ( x ) = ln( x ) / ln( 2 )

To calculate the base 2 logarithm of 16, key in
[ln] 16 [/] [ln] 2 [=]
and get displayed the correct answer 4.

The same simple formula also works for any other base, and actually for any other logarithms provided by your calculator. The FX-300MS also provides a logarithm to base 10 (lg). You could also
type
[lg] 16 [/] [lg] 2 [=] to get the solution to the problem above, or
[lg] 25 [/] [lg] 5 [=] to get the base 5 logarithm of 25.

### How to convert cbm into sq meter

Now cubic meter calculator can be defined as a simple device which is used to convert a given value in meters to it's corresponding cubic meter form. Other than this we can always add the formulaes of the structures to get the volume of the structure by simply entering it's side length or height etc..
Let us consider simple examples :
Suppose that we have to convert 5 meters to its cube. The only thing we would do is that we would enter this value of 5 in the calculator and calculator with do the calculation as $\displaystyle{{5}}^{{3}}$ and will show the result to you as 125 $\displaystyle{{m}}^{{3}}$ .
Now if we have added formulaes to this calculator , like for calculating the volume of cube,cylinder and cone (say). Then we can use this calculator in three different cases.

### I need help with a change of base formula problem.

It's simple here some logs:

log x base y = log x / log y
log (x*y) = log x + log y
log (x/y) = log x - log y
you just need to know that the default base of log in calculators is 10, so log x mean
log x base 10 = log x / log 10,
so write log x / log y for log x base y example:
log 8 base 2 = log 8 / log 2 that is how you write it on calculator, hope it was helpful

### How do i use the inverse log operation on the TI-84

The problem is simple. You're trying to get an [H+] concentration which is obviously going to have a value of some number times ten raised to a negative power. Therefore, you have to insert the negative value of the pH into the 10^(x). When you insert said negative number you will come out with the right answer.
i.e.
The pH of a sample of human blood was calculated to be 7.41. What is the [H+] concentration of the blood?
10^(-7.41) = [H+]
[H+] = 3.9 E-8
(the answer should only have two sig. figs because the pH has two digits after the decimal.

### The % of a discounted price

Lets say Your

MRP = 199
BESTSALE = 130

Now you want to calculate that howmuch percentage of BESTSALE i.e 130, will be added to get MRP i.e. 199.

If m right what do you want, then use the following formula:

Percentage = ((MRP/BESTSALE) - 1) x 100

In your case 199/130 = 1.5307....
So 1.5307 - 1 = 0.5307
Then 0.5307 x 100 = 53.07 %

### BINOMIAL DISTRIBUTION

Hello,
Let us start with a review of the formula for the binomial distribution
f(r;n,p)=n!/(r!(n-r)!)x(p^r)x(1-p)^(n-r)

But n!/(r!(n-r)!)=(nCr) you get
f(r;n,p)= (nCr)x(p^r)x(1-p)^(n-r)

Exemple : n=25, r=6, p=0.7

f(6;25,0.7)= 25 [PRB] [-->] 6 [ x ] {0.7[ ^] 6 }[ x ]{0.3[ ^ ]19}

The arrow means a horizontal scroll once to select the (nCr) function. [ x ] stands for the multiplication sign.
[ ^] is the raise to the power key
The { } are used here as parentheses to make formula legible.

Hoe it helps

Hope it helps

### Statistics

Random number generators on computers are not really random. They need to be "seeded". If you seed the random number generator with the same seed each time you will generate the same list of numbers. A common technique in computer programming is to seed the random number generator with a value like the number of seconds that has occurred since midnight. This gives you the illusion of real random numbers.

Look up the word "Seed" in your calculator documentation and it will most likely tell you how this is accomplished on the TI calculators.
