Sometimes the ringer will Skip for a few seconds, then the phone will shut off and restart. It has also done it while playing games on it. I've already reinstalled the flash and flex by installing two differnt monster packs. It must be hardware related?

I would say its a software problem but if you have reflashed the firmware, unless your using somekind of wierd ringtones, id say its a software issue, Id take it to a phone shop for a test, possibly get a replacement, but get it tested first, got warranty? motorola might fix it for you - free.

This will very depending on your phone manufacture and model. In general you will go to

4) Ring tones and sound
5) To change your ring tone choose Ringtone
6) to change message ringtone (ex, Text or email) choose Message
7) If you have a smart phone you can changes your notification sound by clicking on Notification Sounds. (a notification is when your lets you know you have received a missed call, text, email. it notifies you of something)
With the phone in standby mode (not talking, not doing something in the menu, etc), press vol-up or vol-down. The phone will sound the different ring tones at different volumes. To turn the ringer off, select "Ringer Off". When the phone sounds the ring tone and volume you wish to use, press the end key.

1. Press menu once and answering machine announces "Time" and current time. The answering machine displays (1) through (7) indicating the day of week.
2. Press skip/ff or repeat/rew to until correct day is announced.
3.Press set/ringer to select the day.
4 press skip/ff or repeat/rew until correct hour from 1 to 12 is heard.
5. Press set/ringer to select the minute/
6. press skip/ff or repeat/rew until correct minute from is announced.
7. Press to set/ringer to select the minute.
8. Press skip/ff or repeat/rew for A.M. or P.M.
9. Press set/ringer to store your am or pm selection.

so it would be on silence mode.just make it ring mode from silence mode.
