Sometimes the ringer will Skip for a few seconds, then the phone will shut off and restart. It has also done it while playing games on it. I've already reinstalled the flash and flex by installing two differnt monster packs. It must be hardware related?

Re: Ring tones and game sounds SKIP?
I would say its a software problem but if you have reflashed the firmware, unless your using somekind of wierd ringtones, id say its a software issue, Id take it to a phone shop for a test, possibly get a replacement, but get it tested first, got warranty? motorola might fix it for you - free.

This will very depending on your phone manufacture and model. In general you will go to
2) Device (this is only on some smart phones, if you don't see this skip this step)
3) Sounds and Notifications
4) Ring tones and sound
5) To change your ring tone choose Ringtone
6) to change message ringtone (ex, Text or email) choose Message
7) If you have a smart phone you can changes your notification sound by clicking on Notification Sounds. (a notification is when your lets you know you have received a missed call, text, email. it notifies you of something)
Does it have a speakerphone function, does that work? It would seem that the second speaker is malfunctioning. There is usually seperate speakers for the earpeice and for the rigner/speakerphone. You could open the phone and make sure the speaker is sitting correctly, it could have rotated off it's contacts. But you may have to replace the speaker, possible found on eBay.
Press and hold the # key for few seconds and the ring should come back. Alternatively the menu must be opened select tones and select ringer options to set it to default mode--general or your profile setting of the selected music.
The problem is with your "Ringer" (the bigger speaker). If you can hear the sound through your ear piece, then replacing the Ringer/Speaker will definitely fix your problem. I would suggest to get it done from a service center or from a mobile repairing shop.
I had the same problem with mine. when I would go to tone settings every time I tried to hit
ring tone it would turn off the phone and restart, by the way in ring tone it
was blank. No matter what I did it wouldn't work. So I went to settings
then restore factory settings entered the code. It reset the factory
settings, then when I went back to tone settings the ring tone said
Nokia Tune so I hit enter and it gave a list of all other ring tones,
then it worked so my phone finally rings.... Hope it works for you.
there r three modes.
so it would be on silence mode.just make it ring mode from silence mode.
which can be done by going into settings then in to ringer and volume option.in that you can select.
I had to edit some of my songs on my PC to make them shorter to be applied as a ringtone. I made them about 20-30 seconds long so they would work. WHen I put entire songs on the phone it wouldn't work.
