No serial no for intervideo windvd4

My laptop is broken & i borrowed a pc from my brother but it had no dvd player on it so i was going to put winvd4 as i have got the cd to it but cant find my serial no

Can you tell me my serial number for WinDVD?

If you received a CD from InterVideo and cannot locate the CD sleeve or jewel box that contains the serial number, contact Technical Support. If your CD box does not have an InterVideo label, or if you have misplaced the CD box, you must obtain the serial number from your computer's OEM. The OEM will contact their supplier or us directly if they do not know where to find this information.

hey make sure that your procedure in making a dvd is making a dvdmovie something like that, i think is that you just copy the video as data not a dvd format although you burn it in a dvd make sure you choose the right option in intervideo.

I have downloaded a couple of video clips from my new Sony Camera and WinDVD4 will not play them. The files are in MPEG-4 format. Any advice, solutions etc???
You can play them in Apple's itune or quicktime media player. Mpeg4 needs a special codec (decoder) that doesnt come with WinDVD4.

Have you tried running the software in XP emulation mode? have you installed it with administrative privileges? has UAC been turned off.. Perhaps ya may even need to up-date to a later version?

The correct solution is this

navigate to C:\Program Files\InterVideo\WinDVD\Skins
you will see a WinDVD4 folder.

you need to copy the contents of that folder (open folder select all copy) and paste it directly into the \Skins folder. Now everything will work.
