Powers up and is black or very dark screen. It says when trying to adjust (1 D-SUB OUT OF RANGE) can you help. I cannot see the screen without holding flashlight up to it. Thank You.

I've heard several solutions. The capacitors and/or transistors are bad.

Change 2SC5707 transistors and the electrolytic caps in the inverter section. Also check the 3A picofuse and resolder all transformer pins.

Not sure what the D-sub out of range means.. but if you have to hold a flash light to the screen to see the images it would seem that either your inverter board or backlight lamp is bad.
I would try the inverter board first.. there are numerous places on the web that sell these things.. Just google it..
