Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook

Reply - still have dv 600 speaker issue - thank you!

Comment by rumali, posted on Sep 06, 2008 Thank you so much for responding, this is wonderful.

When I plug in headphones, I don't hear the buzzing.
I don't hear anything, not even playback - I tried playing a song from Windows Media Player library, and nothing emits from on board speakers or headphones...of course, the buzz still here:)
When I plug the headphone into the jack, I do hear a slight electric sound so at least I know they're working.

I just discovered the Microsoft ISATAP Adapter (don't know if that's associated) has a warning : "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)" . The problem code value = 0000001F (if that means anything?).

Next, I just uninstalled Audacity - I'm gonna reboot now, and log back on.

I wonder if it is an impedence issue - the amp made an awful loud sound if the mic jack or the gain knob were adjusted/wiggled.
If the amp impedence is wacked, is it or the computer speakers
repairable?

Thanks again, I will reply momentarily re: uninstall of Audacity. Comment by rumali, posted on Sep 06, 2008 Hi, I'm back after rebooting, and the buzz is not killed:)
btw, Last night I did a restore to a date previous to the buzzing - no change.
So, does it seem like the impedence problem...what can I try next?
Thank you again for your advice - thanx for being here!

Oh CRUD, I did use speaker out...
I too thought no audio in phones was strange - b/c I could hear the plug contact the jack...so I did confirm the volume was up, and speakers/vol levels selected in the audio section were appropriate...(as far as I know).

Another odd thing I noticed upon reboot, is that when the computer starts up, the buzz starts out really slow, and speeds up as the computer 'loads/starts up'...as if something is 'winding/warming up', connected to the electric buzz.
I also find it odd that if I press on the silver screen above the keyboard, it momentarily interrupts the sound (the only thing that does).

I have uninstalled the ISATAP & restarted - no change.
    Any more advice?
What would be the status/resolution if it's indeed an impedence issue? Or do I want to know...

It is strange that your headphones aren't giving you audio. Did you turn the Windows volume back up? If so, go into control panel and see if there are any problematic drivers in the audio section. Uninstall that ISATAP for starters, plus any other ones that show an "X" or "!". Then reboot and see what happens.

You must always only use "Line out" of an amplifier, NEVER speaker out.

Since you overdrove your input, I wouldn't be surprised if you blew your audio chip..... It's the only thing that seems to make sense. Other than re-installing windows to see what happens :(

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
Speakers need an amplifier , check if your speakers have a built in audio amps also make sure you are connected to audio out jacks. (still the speakers either need a built in or stereo amp system)

AC button blinking

hi mercedes,

here is another thread that is almost similar to your problem, i just paste it here with my reply...

1985 toyota Camery in hot weather the car AC quits and will not engage the pump. After it cools the pump will come on again. When this happens the AC button in the car blinks. i know this is a vacuum and/or temperature sensor but i don't know which one it is. The manual I have does not say anything about it. Other wise the AC works just fine. Ron Comment by Ron0293, posted on Sep 27, 2008When I first turn it on the AC is working fine, blowing cold air all the time, the clutch pump is in gauged...when the problem occurs the clutch disingauges and then no cold air.. Comment by Ron0293, posted on Sep 27, 2008When I first turn it on the AC is working fine, blowing cold air all the time, the clutch pump is in gauged...when the problem occurs the clutch disingauges and then no cold air.. It is a sensor somewhere telling the pump to turn off. Comment by Ron0293, posted on Sep 28, 2008there is nothing wrong with the whole AC system when the compressor is pumping! no holes, no leaks, no heater problems or fan problems. The compressor keeps cutting out when the temperature starts to climb. I believe the system has a motor vacuum load/temp. sensor that cuts the AC out when the motor temp. rises from extra load. IE: like going up a long hill. I just don';t know where the sensor is located and the clutch wiring from the compressor is impossible to follow, as it is buried in a wire harrness. Comment by Ron0293, posted on Sep 29, 2008 There are two fans located at the rear of the radiator. They don't seem to be running when the AC pump cuts out. There is a sensor switch on the dryer. when the pump is acting up if i disconnect the sensor wiring the fans start running on high. There is also another sensor on the pump and when i disconnect it the fans start running on high. replacing the wiring returns the fans to off.
There is also a sensor, seems to be internal on the pump and when I disconnect it nothing happens. if(typeof LIB_LOADED == 'undefined'){document.write(''); } Add a Comment
