Will the Muteki sub amp work with a different receiver that has no trigger.

This has nothing to do with this but how do u Play music out of AUX cable on the Sony Muteki HTDDW7500

My subwoofer recently burnt out because I had it plugged into a different amplifier.. I wouldn't recommend it. Sony has released the sub to suit that system.. Do keep in mind that I did have bass boost on with the sub up full (Which didn't matter when I had it connected to the Sony amplifier..).

Proceed with caution.. I would recommend turning the sub down and using the sub volume control on the amplifiers settings to change the volume.. Just do not run it at a pace where it looks like it is stressing.. When I say stressing I mean, looking like it is going to jump out of the enclosure..

It's likely that the sub channels are just switched off. Go to the speaker settings or set up and check that the sub channels are switched to on.

SPEAKERS DISTORTING. I have a muteki system and all my speakers are distorting. The speakers work fine on other systems but distort really bad when hooked up to the muteki amp. Any ideas?
distorting speakers comes from over driving them( too much power from amp)

Protect subwoofer showing on power amplifier
Check your owner's manual for a Factory Reset, or Return to Default. Try that first. If it still doesn't work, try disconnecting the sub completely, and see it that resolves the issue.

Do you mean sub woofer. Then you can select any brands Active sub woofer ( active means built in amplifier) to connect with your system. They comes in different power (watts). you can use an active sub woofer with 100W output.
connect the sub woofer pre out of you amp to the pre input of sub woofer.

CDs and Ipod wont play with Alpine CDA-9885
The Alpine has two tigger wires when it turns on. One is an AMP TURN ON wire (blue/white) and a PWR ANT wire (blue) and that wire only comes on when using the radio or an optional HD radio unit ... When it was installed/connected . someone hooked your amp turn on wires for your "full range amps" to the PWR ANT wire. And the sub amp trigger is either hooked correctly to the AMP TURN ON WIRE or somewhere else, it probably shouldn't be... Check it. Amp triggers should all be to the blue/white wire from your alpine. Warning: Alpine trigger wires, are very easy to mess up they supply a very limited amount of power.
