2003 Monte Carlo SS, FOBS won't unlock doors (new batterries), use key and open the door with the door open FOB will lock and unlock the door, shut the door and the FOB won't lock the doors. After a couple of seconds the alarm chirps and sets the alarm. Open door alarm goes off, now press door unlock on FOB and shuts off alarm. FOB still won't unlock or lock door. No lights on dash. Tried to access settings on Radio to reprogram FOBs, nothing shows up on radio. Is this the PASSKEY SECURITY problem? or what? Thanks in advance, Steve.

Did you think to check the remote batteries. change them. if thats not the issue ....then sounds like the power is not getting full power from battery of vehicle. clean cables and try again. Some vehicles have a way that you have to use to reset automatic doors that open by remotes and such so if any of this helps let me know. Certain ones have to be reset by a diagnostic scan tool.

    check the cables and vehicle battery clean them and tighten. then put in new remote batteries you can get them at part stores. consult you user manual for info on remote .

If the passkey is messed up, there will be a light on the dash that says security, or have a picture of a car with a lock thru it. If there is no light when the key is turned forward, then its NOT a passkey problem.

How do you program a keyless entry fob for a 2012 monte carlo
Close all the vehicle doors. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. Press and hold the DOOR unlock switch. While holding the DOOR lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. Release the DOOR unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode. Jeep liberty 2006 power lock will lock but not unlock
there are 3 ways to lock.
key metal
on door switches
and the FOB, RKE.

so is this a fob question? key fob? only failure???????
did you know that many fob modes are PROgrammable?
the operators guide tells you how to do that.
did you try both fobs, that came with car new., if not why not?
did you replace the 8 year old fob batteries, no , why not now.?

on my 08 (for example) :
can program it to only open drivers door. or all.
and autolock feature off or on.

on my other car all was worked fine. then drives door failed
to open (all 3 fobs fail, one is new) the door solenoid was bad.
$100 part. now fixed, by me.
so do all fobs fail. if in fact this is a FOB question
RKE (called remote key entry by jeep)

i have 4 fobs for my jeep now. you must have 2 good keys.
to make a 3rd by self.
so keep 2 , never ever used. to be self sufficient.
this is not a door issue, above 3 lines, its a not getting stranded issue.

My wife had her purse stolen with one of the 2008 Expedition Keys and FOB's. How do I deprogram the keys and Fobs and reprogram just the ones I still have?
get two new fob e-bay is cheap or dealer cycle key from off to run NOT CRANK JUST TILL LIGHT COME ON . do that 8 times you door lock will lock then unlock this is key fob reprograming mode press unlock on fob door lock will cycle up and down then press unlock on other fob door lock will cycle again now start truck and shut off. test each fob.

when you reprogram the new fobs the other ones will not work

Do you mean that you cannot lock/unlock the door with the central locking system?

If so you will need to have the actuator in that door removed and a new one fitted.

How do i program my ford key fob 2 my transit van
1 - Unlock the doors. Put the key in the ignition, and turn from "Off" to "ACC" 8 (eight) times in under 10 seconds. The doors will lock. Leave key in the "ON" position

2 - Program the fobs by pressing any key on the fob. The doors locks will lock/unlock

3 -- Turn the key to Off. Locks will lock/unlock, and you are out of programming mode.

I bought new remote Key Fob on Ebay and it did work properly on my Ford Transit LWB 2003. Good Luck!

Hello: To resynchronize the keyless entry close all doors, key out of ignition. Hold lock and unlock buttons till the doors (all) lock then unlock. If the transmitter still doesn't work you have other problems. Go to auto zone they can check your transmitter to see if it is working.

U may need to manually stick ur finger in the lock hole on the door and flip it so it's unlocked There's a lock position n if the door is open u can't unlock it with out flipping It up with ur finger
