Hi there are 2 options for this: 1) if its a anlog knob then the AMP inside is gone bad... 2) if its a digital knob then it is preesed constantly and there for raising the volume level try disassemble the system and making the spring knob more efective good luck

The only thing that you can do is remove the unit and send it out to a factory approved repair shop, that is it no other choices.

Sounds like your car battery is either low or the connection from your radio to your car battery is faulty/worn. If your radio is easily removeable, check the connection on the back.

I just bought a Coby home theater system 5.1 surround sound dvd/cd/ player model#765. I've got it all hooked up but I have one problem, when I want to listen to my tv stations through the home theater...

Hi - Your Home Theater System and your TV should have separate volume controls. You should be able to control each individually. Start by checking the volume level on your TV with your HTS shut-off. Turn the volume on your TV all the way down to 0.

Next, turn your HTS on and check the volume level there. Is it still loud? If so, try turning the volume down on your HTS. That should do the trick. If its not loud then you know you can control the volume on either the HTS or the TV. If this answer does not help, then please write us back with a little more detail. Thanks.

Radio shuts off at volume of 16 or more

Maybe a protection component cutting in.
If you have speakers that are too powerful for the radio it may shut down to protect the amplifier from overdriving the speakers. That produces too much heat in the amp chips/transistors and they either have a overload cut out protection circuit or they burn out.
Even if the speakers are the stock fitted ones the wattage could be bigger than the amp in the radio can handle.
There's probably no way of knowing how powerful the speakers in the truck are but you could try the radio with another set.
Max 50 Watts for that radio. If you don't have the manual for it, it's available here:

Sound shuts off, sub still works

That is a common problem with this radio, for it can not go to loud without going down in volume or shutting down.
