First try opening the gogear device and click on music right after the welcome screen. Select either "All Songs", "Artists" or "Albums" to find your songs. If you downloaded your songs, they should display on the screen of philips gogear, then you can select them to play on your headphones
Only some audio formats (.mp3 .wav and .wma will be play on philips gogear SA 3020/37)
Downloads from CD will work without problem. Downloads from a music service will be a problem, because this player does not recognize DRM- encryption. Convert those songs that won't work to Mp3 format with an Mp3 converter.
Itouch always ask folder to store music when down loaded from wifi you should have clicked yes to over write. So old songs have been over writed . Always sycne before downloading new songs or choose new folder for it.
And when you run it, click the checkbox for "Format Data Area." When the message comes up saying you want to delete all the files, click "yes-" it's worth deleting all your songs if it works properly afterwards. You'll have to re-sync your songs and the downloads take forever, but it works.
As for deleting the pre-loaded songs, you can manually delete them from the device while its connected to the PC. Go to My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Music Folder then just right click and delete on the items you do not want.
1st I would make sure you have the newest version of iTunes (Free at apple.com/itunes/download)
Then I would try not to run any other programs while importing...
What OS are you running as well as RAM and Processor?
