Question about Foxconn 945GZ7MC-RS2H Motherboard

1 Answer

Foxconn mobo i have just put in a new mobo foxconn 946gz7ma however when i turn on the pc all lights on the front panel are working and the cpu fan + power fan are also working but nothing else, what is the solution

I also have the same problem, I have no no beeps at all :S
    BUT
I suspected there may be a problem with the cpu altogether, and when I came to check - by removing the whole motherboard - i have that crappy Intel Heatsink & fan (the one with the platic push-in pegs) and one side of the heatsink wasnt attatched to the board properly. Now i'm wrestling it back as when I push one corner back in, the opposite one pops out :\ could a loose heatsink cause this?
    AND ALSO
for some strange reason my PSU (which came with my motherboard as part of a bundle deal) only has a single 4-pin power.. thingy :P and theres another similar 4-pin socket left empty as the PSU didnt have a connecter for it. Could that be the problem aswell??

    Many thanks

Try to look on the jumper settings on the motherboard before you upgrade your proccessor maybe they need to be adjusted.tryb to put back the one wich was there and see what happens.how many beeps does your computer makes when you switch in on?if it makes more than one then your proccessor is not compatible with the board.a computer should beep once whenevever its switched on

Foxconn 945G7MA-8EKRS2 Motherboard will not post with pentium d cpu ,i have even updated with the lates bios flash,

Good day,
According to Intel 945G chipset supports Celeron D up to Core2Duo. Intel Gigabyte's 945 DS3 even supports up to Core2Quad. GByte Foxconn has 3 mobo bios from there site. Foxconn
According to their date: Latest to oldest
4BFF1P56 No Version 4BFF1P40
Have you tried installing the no version bios? In my experience some latest bios have some problems with other devices so try to use the no version bios. or try a different mobo bios with the same chipset from Foxconn. below are two foxconn mobo models i can't see the difference.
945G7MA-8EKRS2 945G7MA-8EKRS2H
Update at your own risk..

Alienware c51xem2aa out the box wont turn on

If there was a spark and it smelled, something probably burned through. If I were you, I'd send it back to Alienware and request a new one. Even if you could fix this now, the risk of it breaking again in the future is much bigger. I hope you'll get your new PC fast, Yannick.

Motherboard shorted

Unless you have about a $3000 soldering machine and lots of skills soldering, i would say just get a new mobo. the cost to fix it would be lots more than its worth

Foxconn P9657AB motherboard installation problem

You're Foxconn board uses the Award bios.
The long beeps you are hearing are telling you there is a problem with you're memory.
You're pic does not look like the Foxconn P9657AB-8EKRS2H MB as shown in the user manual. Found on This link.
http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-us0000297
The pic on Foxconn's site does but not the manual listed.
The motherboard uses four 240-pin slots with 1.8V for DDR2 memory only.
(Question? Did you're ECS MB use DDR2 memory)?
If you have more than 1 DIMM installed remove all but 1.
Move the DIMM into the closest slot next to the CPU.
Boot the PC & check for beeps. If still presant move the DIMM to the next slot & try again. Continue this through all four slots. Than try another DIMM. If the mother board continues to beep as mentioned than call Foxconn. (There is a bios update mentioned below for memory).
The CPU may come into question. (It’s revision). You may have to call Foxconn for this information. (580-272-0035). They do not place this information in their user manual. Most users have to call. The rev of the CPU may conflick with the memory causing you to receive the bios beeps. (I have had to return 2 boards for this reason). I picked an Asus board over Foxconn.
I have come across this with Foxconn motherboards these past two years. Suggest you update you’re bios. Foxconn has a revision dated, 3-28-2008 for memory before you call. After bios update test the memory again for beeps. Still there? Return the board is my suggestion.
It’s a guess that the red led will go away after the memory issue has been addressed. Normally there is a green led on most motherboards. This means standby. The board has power connected. I could not find any reference in the user manual * .pdf, for R450.

Good Luck ninjo61!
Mike

MoBo Winfast 6100M2MA-RS2H

Hello,

This board is made by FoxConn.
Looking up towards the CPU from the bottom the front panel connector is the third connector up from the bottom right and/or should be labeled as show.

Winfast k8s755A freezes at startup

Ok I got e-mail from Foxconn and they told me to use a single sided 256 DDR RAM to get past post. So I did, then I wnt to BIOS and set all my settings, saved it restarted turned off the PC then returned my 1GB Ram then all worked just fine. This is an issue coused by haveing a Samptron 64 CPU.
