My wash machine tries to fill, but it sounds like the pump is pumping it out as fast as it fills.

The number one suspect reason for simultaneous fill and drain would be that your washing machine drain hose is inserted into your wall drain too far. The drain stack pipe in the home should be as high on the wall as the top of the washing machine main top/lid, and the hose from the washer inserted no deeper than 10" and properly secured to one of the adjacent water shut offs with a zip tie. If this is your issue, your drain system in the home is creating a siphon through the washer drain hose and literally sucking the water out of the washer. Pleazer Appliance...

Does not fill to wash

If draining is occurring at the same time as it is filling you have siphoning happening. There could be 2 reasons for this.

#1 the drain hose must be higher than the washer tub before it connects to the drain pipe in the house.

#2 the drain hose from the machine must not stick into the house drain more than 6" - if it is pushed down the drain too far it will siphon out the water in the machine.

check your drain filter, get a wet vac and vacuum the water out, then open the drain plug at bottom and try to vacuum the drain to clear out debris......then turn on and test washer if it fills and drains if it fills with water and doesn't drain then your drain pump is defective........get your model number and source for a pump motor.................................

if it doesn't fill with water then your water fill switch is defective...............source for parts..............

if this helps out anyone a feed back would be good..........

It sounds like your drain hose is two low. If your drain hose is inserted into a drain pipe try extending the drain pipe to the same hight as the washing machine.

Wash machine is draining while trying to fill up

Make sure your drain hose only goes into the stand pipe about 4" and secure it. If it goes in too deep a siphon will occur. Also make sure your stand pipe is not too short. It needs to be 18" above the trap or 30" above the floor. If it's less, then siphoning can also occur.

Fills but does not wash

Hi!
That happens when for some reason any of the two drain/spin cycles are interrupted. Try this:
have the washer empty, then set the machine to run the last cycle to the end of it, when you usually
lift the cover to take out the clothes, that ought to do it, I had the same problem when diagnosing a
timer problem.
