There is a VERY good chance that your USB HSPA Modem is not compatible/complient with Microsoft Vista. There are very few older parts on the market that are compatible.

You can also go to the manufacture web site of the HSPS modem and see if there are any Vista Drivers. If not, then you are out of luck.

Can't connect to internet the internet. My modem is working okay on another pc.Previously I could connect. I'm using GATEWAY NV54 laptop on Windows 7 Home premium

Have you received Windows 7 installed at the time of purchase? If not, check the compatibility with Windows 7. Check your Ethernet adapter with LAN for its proper functioning. Try using latest driver for Ethernet adapter from the laptop manufacturer. If the adapter is OK, restore the system to previous date on which it used to work or reinstall the operating system as a last resort.

I reinstalled Vista Home Premium on my wife's Gateway laptop, but can't connect wirelessly to the router. Windows can't find the adapter (it's built in).

As you re-installed vista, you probably need to load the drivers , sometimes these are supplied as a seperate CD or you can go onto the manufacturers website and download onto a working PC and then using USB thumbdrive or write to a CD copy to the faulty machine
as we do not know the exact model i can only direct you to the support site http://support.gateway.com/support/default.aspx if you put your serial number into this site - should show you all the drivers required

Wireless Home network will not stay connected to internet

So you have a DSL modem connected to a router connected to a wireless router connected to both your computers? Sounds like you need to just get a wireless modem and throw all the routers away.

Issues: Code 10 error, Physical Memory is 2GB +

1. Go to http://www.station-drivers.com/page/marvell.htm
and download the Marvell Libertas driver Version 1.0.0.53 date: 10/16/2007

2. Run the self-extracting Zip file to uncompress the driver files

3. Under driver\inf\Vista...\32BITS there is a file called "netmw13b". Copy this file to c:\windows\system32\drivers, overwriting the file that is currently there

4. Reboot Vista

There. Four easy steps. Someone please give this a try and let us know whether it's really that simple.

Notes...

32 bit Vista SP1 will install a May '07 driver which will not allow more than 2Gb RAM .Run InvokeSetup after extracting and v. 1.0.0.53 of the driver will be installed. After doing this I added 2GB more RAM (4GB total) and everything works.
