Cannot find reverse switch

Are you trying to get the fan to turn opposite direction ? If so there's a small black switch located above the light on the fan itself. It is a slide switch with the fan off slide that switch turn on the fan and direction will change.

Fan just quit working one day. Nothing happens when I turn the light switches on and off.

Is it powered thru a light switch? Sometimes those do just quit. You can remove the old switch & replace it. Go to Lowe's/Home Depot, the switch itself is fairly inexpensive (probably less than $5). Remember to turn off the breaker to that room/switch before you do anything. The installation itself is simple - just wire + to + and ground it. Did you notice any kind of noise/smell before it stopped working? If the motor is burnt out - just replace the whole fan (unless you feel like tinkering with breaking it down & finding a replacement motor). Sometimes the lite switch on the fan itself will go out - parts for that can be found at about any larger hardware store, but sometimes that's not an easy repair (depends on what type of lite kit is on the fan). However, if that were the problem -it would not cause the blades not to turn, it would only keep the lights from coming on. Try replacing the light switch that turns the fan on/off first (the one on the wall, not on the fan itself) - hopefully that'll solve it for you. Good Luck.

MY two fans Minkaaire run in the differetnt directions. How can I make them run the same directions. I tried the on and off switch but it does not help

I'm not familiar with your brand of fan, but like all the others I've seen it should have a direction switch somewhere on the housing. This is a two-position slide switch, often unmarked but sometimes labeled "winter/summer". When the switch is moved from one position to the other it switches the fan's direction. Turn the fan off, find the switch and flip it, and when you turn the fan back on it will turn the other way.

Light switch will not turn on fan light, however I can turn light on manually, note I HAVE REPLACED THE LIGHT SWITCH AND THE RESULTS ARE THE SAME.

I'm assuming you can turn on light AT the fan but not at wall switch, And you have replaced WALL switch correct? If that's correct, then wiring above fan has come loose and is no longer attached to wire that connects to wall switch. (They come loose from fan vibration - had same problem)

How to replace my cooling fan on my 1100 goldwing honda. my fan is not turning on

The problem is usually not the fan motor but the switch that turns it on and off. There are two switches located either on the radiator or on the thermostat housing . The single wire switch is the temp sender. The one you want is the two wire switch that turns the fan on and off. Once you locate the fan switch you can jump the fan to test it. Unfortunately, the switch is usually about $100, the fan is $300 to $400.

The remote controls the fan speed but wont dim or control the light. the unit wont work if the light switch is off so I cant use the fan at all unless the light is turned on

mcdevito75 here, Generally the Ceiling fan motor is hooked up by-passing the wall switch but still to the hot laed going to the wall switch whlie the lights are hooked up to the hot lead after the wall switch, So without the remote, Manually operate your fan and lights. First with the wall switch off the fan should work and the lights no work. Now turn the fan off with the pull chain on the fan shroud close to the ceiling. Now turn wall switch on and lights should work with wall switch and the fan should also work. if so, re-program the remote or change the batteries or even re--place the remote.

Wall switch

I had this same problem (sort of) - my daughter lost the remote to our fan and it would not work from the wall switch. What you have to do is go up to where your fan is connected to the ceiling, slide the canopy down, and remove the remote transmitter. Then just rewire the fan normally - white to white, black and blue to black, and the ground wires together. Turn on the power and your fan light should work with the wall switch. You will have to pull the cord for the fan to work.
