Mackie 450 thermal light on no sound

could you give some more info? what are your running into your speaker? and how exactly is it run? once we weed out common issues like switched up cables, than we can move on to internals.
which on that note, I think this is a manufacturing defect

here's a link to the schematic if you want to go poking around the circuits.....

take a resistance test between D56 pin1 and Q35 pin2. thats where this issue seems to be stemming from from ones ive worked on. I have know it to be an internal track that was broken and needed to be glued back down. definitely not the first time ive seen this....

I burned up some resistors in my klh asw120 # r52 r48 and r49 i need the values to them so i can replace them they are too burnt to tell the color code please get back to me with the values! Thanks JASON

This is a pretty common problem with this sub.

Here's a solution that I posted earlier this year, including schematics for the upper and lower circuit boards. Be sure to check the circuit board revisions to make sure they match my schematics.

I blew out an IC chip of my Monitor Audio ASW 110 Sub_woofer. The chip is in the U6 position it has 8 contacts. How do I figure out what chip to replace this with.

It is marked as U5 on my board but it is a BA4558 dual opamp. Can you take a look at your board and give me the color codes or resistance values for R35 and R36 please? Mine are fried. Thanks!

I Need values of resisters R-82 and R-85. They feed plus and minus voltage to power amps. amps shorted and burned resistors. The amp is a subwoofer amp in a B & W model DM605 s2 speaker. Any help would...

If the resistors were blown, the power amp which is either transistors or an amplifier package has been shorted out. The resistors are very low resistance, and used really as slow blowing fuse. The value is probably a fraction of an ohm (eg. point two ohms)

Wharfedale PowerCube PC-12 Subwoofer Problem

ok , what your going to need to do is give me the numbers on the amp IC's , and i will see if they are available , but first you will need to see if the pre amp transistor is failing , to do this leave the power off and unplug from the wall then with a digital multi meter on diode check , check to see if the emitter to base reads about 680- 700 , if it does then its ok but i would replace that anyway because it could be the reason the amp is not amplifying correctly , sometimes they don't act up untill power is applied , then also replace any resistors in line with the input line that do not read thier values( if you need help identifing them let me know and i upoad the codes for them) and also the electrolitic capacitors on the transistor line to the amp
once you have completed these steps let me know if there is a change
you can cross reference you transistor here also maybe the power amp http://www.nteinc.com/
