Question about Microwave Ovens

1 Answer

I have a Jenn Air over the stove microwave oven JMV8000ADW. How do I compare 1 through 10 power of my oven (1450 wattage)when looking through microwave cookbooks of lesser wattage? How do I compare their numbers (1 through 10) to my (1 through 10)? What is the wattage of each power of my Jenn Air? Have a recipe that calls for 1000 watts...but don't know what power that is on my oven.

Power level 1 = 10%, 2 = 20%, 9 = 90%, etc.

So 1000/1450 ~ .69, so use power level 7.

Hello, i'm looking to replace my light bulb in my jenn-air microwave oven modeljmc8130dds. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The lamp is inside the oven so it is necessary to remove the cabinet but be aware that dangerous voltages are exposed even with power disconnected.

After a kitchen remodel my stove top is getting power but the burners are not working. What should I look for in my wiring? Thanks

Hi,
It is possible only one of the hot wires is still hooked up ....then it couild look like you have power nut the 240v power is not there for the heating elements... only the 110v power to the controls...

Check for 240v power at the back of the unit where the power enters...

No power on Jenn-Air JMC 7000 ADB Microwave

It's either the fuse or the thermostat on the magnetron.

Jenn-Air JMV8000BAW

I always recommend that folks use the vent / hood fan anytime they're cooking with the stove.

Was it on at the time?

If not, moisture can certainly get into the works and cause problems or damage. If it dries out, it's fine but if not, it could cause damage.
