Re: No audio output.

The power supply electrolytics (C512, C513 & C514) and are a bit underrated. Recommend replacing them with 50 volt capacitors and placing an extra 2 in the vacant places next to C512 and C513. Replace C514 with a 2200uF 35V capacitor. Finally remove that resistor bridging F505 and place a 3amp 5x20mm fuse with holder clips for safety. That should stabilize the whole system.

Re: No audio output.

Most bookshelf systems rely on plasitc spring clips (or locking clips on some other models), on both the back of the main unit and speakers, to grasp the ultra-thin speaker wire. They could have easily pulled out of the clips if it was moved. As you check your speaker wires, make sure that the insulation on the wire is stripped far enough to not interfere with the wire in the jack. If the wires are good, check your input source to be sure you've selected CD, radio, tuner, or AUX. You can cycle through these options by using the source button. Make sure the mute is not engaged.

No sound comes out of the system/speakers on my FW-C255/37

There is a problem with the headphone jack or there is a audio output problem, get some electronic contact cleaner attach straw and spray inside the jack, push the headphone jack in and out quickly and spray again and repeat, this should clean the contact points, if no sound, audio output should be suspect.

CAN I CONNECT MY LAPTOP TO MY TECHNICS SA-DV290 AND LISTEN TO SONGS??

Any audio device that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except one labeled "PHONO"). Get a cable like the one described here:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input on ANY audio device EXCEPT one labeled "Phono". Turn the PC's volume control for the headphone volume up. Of course, if you have a sound card with the usual green front speaker outputs that would work, too.

Will not play through speakers works with headphones check speakers with another stereo and they work

This I have run across a number times, it is one of two things, the audio output ic pack is bad in the unit, or the earphone jack is clogged up. Get a small can of contact cleaner attach straw, give it one or two shots and use your headphone to push it in and out several times to clean the points, if this fails you must change the ic.

I have ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND out of my RCA RS2625, I have checked the wiring & all(the speakers wrkd well in the living room on the SHARP stereo when I tested them). Everything is displaying correctly...

Since you all ready tested the wiring and speakers, one or more audio output ic packs have shorted and will need to be replaced, you will need a technician to check the extent of repairs that will be required and I suggest an estimate.

I just bought the Sony MHC-EC99i and I don't know how to connect it to the tv so I can hear the audio from the tv to my speakers

Not knowing anything about your TV...

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=MHCEC99I click on "Operating Instructions"

Look at the section: Using Optional Audio Components.

Assuming your TV has an RCA audio output or headphone output, connect to the PC In. You might have to get an adapter. Select PC In to hear it. make sure the TV's internal volume controls are sending a "Fixed" audio output or its volume control will affect the output. Mute the TV or turn its speakers down.

What are the correct speaker connectors for this unit RCA, Phono ,3.5 mm ?

Does it have a speaker output - I'm sure it does? More likely it's the 3.5mm. which may look like for headphones. The RCA are for low level signals so therefore it's not for the speakers. Do the speakers have two wires a piece? If they are, then there should be speaker output clips on the stereo to connect to. If they look like phono plugs then they go into the speaker output jacks.

Can this unit be connected to my computer so I can make cd's?

It can if your computer has a 3.5mm jack audio imput.
What you need to have on your unit is and audio out socket. But if it doesn't have one you can use the headphone output. Then all you need is a lead. If you have the output sockets you just need a 3.5 jack to two RCA phono plugs one. If not you will need a 3.5 to 3.5 lead.
If using the headphone output, keep the volume low, use the computer recording device to adjust the signal level. NEVER turn the volume up high. Again if you are using the headphone output set tone controls to neutral, otherwise you will have either too much bass or treble on your recordings.
You can use the computer speakers to monitor the sound. Or you can get a headphone adapter plug that will allow to jacks to go into the headphone output of your unit, so you can connect a pair of headphones, but as I said don't mess with the volume control.

My sony 771 won t play any sound -- not the speakers because doesn't come through headphones either. Just cleaned the lens for CDs last night, then this problem developed. Can see the amp bars moving, so...

The lit indication ("amp bars") proves that the aduio signal is getting through the unit's circuitry @ least to that point; lack of sound @ the spkr & headphones indicates the amplifier portion of the circuitry is either inoperative or disconnected from the load (i.e., either the speakers, or the headphones). A common cause of this type of problem cropping up unexpectedly is the headphone jack itself; in most products of this type, the audio path from the amplifier output to the speaker connection runs through the headphone jack, so the the speakers may be "turned off" when the headphones' plug is inserted into the jack. If the unit's owner uses headphones regularly, the most common problem to be found with the jack is loose solder connections to the printed circuit board's traces from the jacks' lead(s); in units with this problem whose owner's irregularly use the headphones, it's more common to find oxidization of the electrical contacts within the jack itself.
