To get into the BIOS configuration/setup, have a look at the screen when you boot up and it may display the Function to press to get into the BIOS. Usually it could be one of these keys, F1, F2, ESC or DEL. If you are unsure of what key to press, press and hold any key on the keyboard when booting up, this will cause a stuck key error, which may allow you to enter the BIOS setup.

To unzip a file you need to download Winzip, this program is used to unzip/uncompress files.

If you want help, man you gotta give some details. I could say, "plug in your computer, its unplugged" but that would be wrong, correct? How do I know? What are you using to unzip? Did you get this file from a dependable source? Is it a .zip file or .rar file? Is this off a game CD or did you download it?
Best I can do:
Try 7 zip: free and will unzip at least a dozen different types (Google it, File Hippo has it).
Re-download your file; could be corrupted, especially if you got it from P-P filesharing.

Plz give me link of sound Driver Xp Lenovo G450

Please follow the bellow step

ThinkPad can havedifferent types of network, video and audio drivers. You need to download allthe drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver unless youknow exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad. Write down the devicedriver and it's file name after downloading, so you have a record of whichdriver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located onyour hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEBsite - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista devicedrivers for your model computer, Follow the bellow link: - After download the various drivers and click on andrun the various driver files, they will then unzip and expand into a sub folderon C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder (run the set-upfile). Now you can download easily one after one. After downloadall the driver, unzip the fie with winrar or zip. Download the winrar free, Copy the link and paste on address bar. Install it.
Hope this helps.

If you are helped you can rate on the 4 thumbs and leave a short comment, because,

Hello i have got just a black screen on my acer Aspire one notebook can you help please

Thank you for using
FixYa for your problem

It seems that a lot of people had success reflashing the BIOS from a USB drive using tools provided by Acer. I don’t know if it’s officially supported by Acer or if it will void your warranty, but if the computer’s a paperweight now anyway, what the hell?

It’s very easy to do, but the steps are a bit unclear so here’s my attempt to make the whole thing painless. This worked for me, but it might not for you, so do this at your own risk.
You need:
Download all the files to an easy to find location.
Steps to prepare the USB drive:
  • Format the USB drive using the FAT file system, not FAT32.
  • Start UNetbootin and choose FreeDOS as the distribution. Screenshot here.
  • Unzip the BIOS files and copy them to the USB drive
  • Make a copy of the BIOS file and rename it as ZG5IA32.FD (this appears to be very important – my reflash failed until I did the copy & rename)
Reflash the BIOS:
  • Make sure the AAO is turned off, the battery is attached and the power adaptor is plugged in.
  • Insert the USB drive
  • Press and hold FN + ESC and press the power button to turn it on. Release the Fn & ESC keys. The LED in the power button will flash.
  • Press the power button again once and wait. Mine took ~3 minutes, but I’d advise that you let it sit there for at least 5 minutes just in case your’s takes longer.
When the reflashing is done, the AAO will reboot and, hopefully, you’ll be back to normal.
If it doesn’t work, try reflashing again. The keypress sequence is a little tricky.
If the second try doesn’t work, then you’ll probably have to send it off for repair.
Good luck!!!

Screen is black on my acer aspire one

Well this depends on what model you have. First make sure it is plugged in and the battery is charged, then try turning it on. If this doesn't fix the problem, you may need to update your bios. Acer provides very detailed instructions on this here:

How can i get update for Bios

Hi there.

You can download the BIOS update from the Acer website here:

Just select your make and model, then underneath that, select your Operating System. Then just click on the BIOS tab, then the orange icon to the left of the BIOS file.

Hope that helps.

Bio password for hp dv2000

Ain't Google wonderful !

I found this on the internet about clearing your HP BIOS password. You download a file called "" from the following url location, using the Free User tab (click on Free User to start download). This is a zip file with a word document and the .exe file. This is how it says to use it:

How to Use:

If the notebook you are servicing has an unknown password, follow these steps to clear the password. These steps also clear CMOS:

1. Enter an incorrect password and press enter.
2. Repeat Step 1 two times.
After the third entry of the incorrect password, the notebook responds with a "system Disabled" message and provides an override password.
3. On working computer, access MS/DOS by clicking Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
4. Change directories to C:\Swsetup\Unlock6
5. Enter "unlock6 xxxxx 0", where "xxxxx" is the password generated by the notebook in Step 2.
The notebook responds with another system-generated password.
This password can be used to unlock the notebook and reset the password.
*Detailed usage and support information can be found by reviewing the included “readme.txt” file.

Also this forum will help explain everything.
