Click start-->run -->type services.msc--> u would see the list of services ---> find "print spooler " ...make sure it is "started " ..or the like possiblity is that u may have installed the printer drivers that came along for xp. .....is so , disable "lexbec " under services list . ........and reinstall/ dowload the vista drivers from your printer vendor site .

Cannot delete pending print job

Hi,

Go to START then click on RUN, type services.msc and look for Print Spooler. Stop the service and start it again. That should clear the pending print job queue.

Hope this helps.

How can I get my spooler to work again?

Hi,

please follow the below steps

Operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running.

1. Press Window key + R to open the Run dialog Start and type services.msc and click OK.

2. Double-click the Printer Spooler service, and then change the startup type to Automatic. This sets the Spooler service to start automatically when you restart the computer. Click OK.

3. Restart the computer and try to install the printer again.

If that doesn't work, the problem could be related to corrupted printer drivers that are installed on the computer.

Try uninstalling all printer software from the computer reboot and make afresh installaiotn of the drivers. This also include PDF writer or faxing software as well.

Print spool service is not Running

What makes you think the print spooler is not working? Is it because you get a message saying that it is not working or is it because you cannot print?

If you can stop and start the print spooler that would indicate to me that the spooler is running and you have a different problem. It is probably a corrupt print job, to fix this do the following.

1) stop the spooler
2) go to My computer
3) select the C drive
4) select the windows folder
5) select the system32 folder
6) select the spool folder
7) select the printers folder
8) delete everything in the printers folder
9) restart the spooler
