Something's wrong with my 6504 adapter

Hi again its been a while how have you been,,ok i hope you can help me like you did last time:) I have a Satellite A205-55804 and theres something wrong with 6T04 Network adapter. It was working just fine this morning but now its not. Okay so when i log on to the internet you know the little icon in the system tray thats has 2 computers and has a red X in front of them when you're not connected to the internet, well mine remains like that when connect to the internet(i have a dial-up connection). Now i can log on to the interent and browse and what-not but my icon remains the same and doesn't show the blue icon it usually does when i connect to the interenet. Now I know its up to date cause I already ran a search for updates on it, and I ran a network diagnostics and it says there nothing wrong with my network. Also when i put my mouse on the icon this is what it says "Connection Status Unkown" then under it it says "The dependency service or group failed to start". So I have went to my control panel and went to my device manager and there i saw under my network adapters drop down a whole line of 6T04 adapters with the error icon in front of it you know the yellow caution symbol with the exclamation point and when i double click on it to check the device status this is what it says:
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"

and under that :

"Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."

Okay thats it

Well, I think this is a question for Dell Support, this is an IPv6 issue. It's really not hurting anything, and it appears a ton of people are having this problem

Can i use my asus netbook while charging it or plugged in with the battery?? will it affect the battery or not?

Hi dimarananjom,
That is fine as long as you will be using the machine like for watching Movies or playing games ON line or OFF line or maybe playing audio for 30 mins to more than an hour, but if you will just be using the machine for typing in a document or or maybe creating a resume using word then I suggest that the AC Adapter be unplugged this is to maintain Battery Life instead of having continuous power which can exhaust the battery cells faster.
Again if the usage will be something that may require more power like watching a move and highend stuff it is OK with the adapter plugged in but if the usage will be something basic use the battery alone this will be better for the battery life to last longer.

Hi my Samsung R530 will not turn on. I have the charger in and the battery is charged to 40% and the orange light is on to say that it is charging. I press the on button and nothing is happening, please...

Hi danielgardha,

I see that you are experiencing issues with your Laptop, you mentioned that the battery has %40 charge and that the adapter is plugged in on the laptop to the wall but still you get an orange light, but when you press the power button nothing happens on the machine.

  • Remove the battery and the adapter from the Laptop then press and hold down the power button, this is to drain power from the motherboard.
  • Once the power has been drained from the Laptop, connect the adapter back again but leave the battery out of the machine, then turn the system ON using the Adapter only.
  • If the Laptop turns ON using the adapter only then it is possible something is wrong with either the Battery or the motherboard of the Laptop.
  • Turn the Laptop OFF again then put the battery back in, then power the system again check if it will turn on with the battery and adapter in the Laptop.
  • If the Laptop does not turn ON when the battery is plugged in then you will need to have the system checked for a motherboard issue.
I hope that this will help.

I was just kind of chilling on my laptop most of the day. And it kept like running outta battery like it normally kinda does every now and again. I kept it plugged in most of the day but it wouldn't...

Make sure the ac adapter is correctly plugged into the notebook and into the power cord.

If everything is plugged in correctly and it still will not power on, follow these steps to complete a 'power reset' of the notebook.

  1. Unplug the ac adapter. Keep ac adapter unplugged.
  2. Remove the battery and keep the battery unplugged.
  3. Hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds. (Nothing will appear on the display and none of the lights will light up.)
  4. Release the power button and plug in the ac adapter ONLY. (Please note that a power indicator light should be lit on the ac adapter when it is plugged in).
  5. Normally power on the notebook.
  6. If the unit does not power on, remove the ac adapter and insert the battery into the system.
  7. Plug the ac adapter back into the system, the battery charging indicator light will light up.
If the battery charging indicator light does not light up, the ac adapter may not be providing proper power to the unit, and may need to be replaced.

Hi, my name is Michael olewnik and my coworkers and I are trying to get a hp g56 laptop to work again. It was working fine and then for no reason, turned off. We do not have a manual and what is going on...

Hello.

The problem could be your battery. Disconnect the adapter. Flip the laptop, unlock and remove and reinsert the battery and try to charge again with the adapter.

If still a problem, this time, disconnect the adapter, remove the battery, reconnect the adapter and try to power on.

If OK, your battery is faulty and needs replacement.

If not, wiggle the adapter where it connects with the laptop. If the power goes off and on, the power jack is faulty and needs soldering or replacement. Should be done by a professional.

If not the power adapter, the motherboard could be the problem.

Hope these suggestions help.

Compaq laptop problem

OK, thanks. This is getting tiring eventhough staff here says they have this problem worked out, the wreakage was considerable. My ranking which is hard to come by at this level was decimated.

Did you get the Error Reporting service instructions on how to disable it?

Have you uninstalled Norton completely? Leave AVG in place until I get you the link to Avast.

I'll help you get ICS stopped. This is normally listed in the properties for Network, inside Control Panel. It would be listed as a service in the window. You select it and then choose uninstall.

Go ahead and rate this fixed so it doesn't get abused again. I only hope we don't run into this problem again this coming weekend.

Thanks.
WV

ps I'll be looking at what updates to apply next.

Compaq Armada 7400 Not Starting up

Hi, Try a couple of things. Boot without the battery first. (just using ac adapter) Have you made any recent changes, like adding memory, etc? If so, take out whatever you installed last. Good luck.
