My Canon PIXMA ip4200 says there is a paper jam but no paper can be seen.

Unplug the unit and restart it, and see if the error is gone, if your sure that there is no paper stuck where it feeds in and out.

I have a pixma ip4200 canon printer

Theres a large lid directly below where the paper goes in and above where it comes out. You can see that is a different scetion from the rest of the printer. If you still cant find it, its where the pixma ip4200 logo is and just above the bigger canon logo on the front. Simply open it and wait until the cartridges move along into view, the one(s) that need changing will flash, push in the small tab on the cartridge and lift out. Hope this helps.

I have a PIXMA ip4200. The problem is this. It will not print. The ink is full. There is plenty of paper in the auto feeder top (I never use the bottom feeder). The message states the copier is out of...

There should be two buttons on the Left front of the printer. The bottom one selects the tray to use the paper from. If you push on it the light will change a light on that panel by the bottom button to indicate which tray is selected. The top button is to continue if you have a paper miss feed. You probably already know this. Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Settings for newer types of paper

Matte Papers are a bit thicker and heavier, in the printer properties, try to select from the choices for paper types that are more related kind of paper, like matte photo paper, to "Fine Art Premium matte".

Printer paper feed for Canon iP4200

There are probably problems with the rollers or the gear sequence that drives them. This type of repair may be more costly than what the printer is worth!
