... and demonstrates how to diagnosis and repair a Poulan 2700Chainsaw. ... I have a brand new Poulan Pro, the hose went bad
As I promised Felix an IPL for a Poulan "PP221 Gas Chain Saw Type 4" follows (may not be your saw): The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best. Fuel components and part numbers are listed but may be on different illustrations. They are also beneficial with disassembly/reassembly: It is deceptive it appears the filtered line goes to the primer, it doe not! It connects to the carburetor input. Trace your existing lines and they will bear my fuel schematic out. http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/PWE/PP221-Gas-Chain-Saw-Type-4/75.PP221-Gas-Chain-Saw-Type-4.1.59.1.html
If not your saw, yours can be found here: Poulan.com http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html The dash number of your serial number is the type. I am reasonably sure the upper most carburetor connection (it bleeds any air in the carburetor, air rises) goes to the primer. Leave the hoses long enough to swap them and try it. They can be shortened once you verify the correct routing. Good Luck. HTH Lou
