Re: My M512A3 kenwood doesn't work

This error usually occurred when the player is removed unsafely from the computer... Make sure to use the "the safe hardware removal ". In order to fix it, try to format the player with the original CD-ROM? it will fix it. Be aware that it will erase every data on the player. sorry. Good luck.

My ipod is showing file system error

Hi

File system error can appear due to unplugging the MP3 player without disconnecting it. It may have happened due to formatting it with a different file format or due to memory issue with the player. Please reformat your MP3/MP4 player. Connect it to the computer, go to My computer-> right click on the mp3/mp4 player after it is displayed-> select format-> Format it as FAT32 File system. Formatting the MP3/MP4 player will delete all the songs/data from the player. So, backup all data before formatting it. Hope this helps...

File system error

Push in the tiny reset button on the device. If that doesn't fix it, install the latest firmware from Philips.com

Target Base MP3 Player file system error

Unfortunately, the firmware upgrades will not usually result in reloading all the system files from the original firmware. If your unit was displaying "File system error" right out of the box, then your player was probably previosuly-owned. If it is a new problem, a key system file could have been deleted manually or through a basic incompatibility with Windows Media Player 11. At any rate, you will need to go ahead and replace the player if the firmware upgrade does not resolve the issue. Does target even have a firmware update on their website?

To smeyer1. Instead of going through windows media player, just try dragging and dropping the files directly into the player on 'my computer'. WMP is pretty touchy these days about DRM issues.
