I have a Poulan Pro 42CC 2 Cycle Chainsaw, 18" It is about 4 months old it will run but the gear that drives the chain is not moving at all when it runs. I can turn it by hand but it is very hard to turn.Please help.Thank you

It sounds very much like the chainbrake has activated, grab the hang guard and pull it firmly back to the top hadle, it should click when it has loaded, now try again.

This sounds loke the chainbrake has activated, grab the hand guard and pull it fimly fully back to the top handle until it clicks and the brake is of, now try again.

no bar oil should just hurt your chain and bar. remove them and try to start saw. if it still won't start you have other problems you may have to buy a new bar and chain

The chain is directional, only cuts one way. If a new chain won't cut, it must be on backwards.
