When I put in a cd & try to copy it say No Audio

  • Bwise Mar 04, 2008

I need help, as my DA-3826 cd recorder that I just purchased used no matter what type of cd (TDK cd-R 52X, cd-RW 4X) also Sony & Maxell cd-R brands when I try to dub or record says NO Audio in the play/record tray.
I don't have it plugged into my stereo system but can see it will play any cd's (through metering levels) but not record. I talked to original owner who said the few times he really used it worked okay with TDK cd-R and had no problems with unit. I plan to connect to mixing board to record live sound but need to get this recording tray working.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks BW

I am having almost the same problem. Have the 3826 hooked to Mackie 24-8 mixer and it says no audio on the TDK. I have tried several CD-r's. The latest Sony CD-R bought at Best Buy. The board has the main out at +4db going into the analog input and does not work. Both sides of TDK will play CD. I can hear through headphones when i plug into Digital input( top input) but not the analog. Any help? Should i buy a new machine, what brand. Using for rehearsal of band to record practices. I have a Masterlink but too complicated for quick opp. during rehearsals. Thanks , roger

This message usually indicates that a non-audio disc is in the record tray. Please use only blank music CD-R or CD-RW media. Refer to page 12 of the owners manual for more information regarding acceptable media type for the DA-3826. Also, the laser lens in your CD might be dirty or failing. Try the following solutions: Clean the laser lens with a CD player lense cleaning disc. Lense cleaning discs are available at many electronics retail store. Sorry i can't help you more.

No Audio

Likely the power supply board, that's where the turn on relay, if there is one, is located. Check for signs of heat and arc damage, clean contacts and replace

Panasonic dvx100p is not recording audio

You may have switched the audio channels to the xlr inputs 1 & 2. The switches are under the flip out viewfinder try flipping them to the internal mic and see if you get levels. If the audio level nobs are turned down all the way you won't get audio either. Always check before you go out to shoot, record a few seconds of yourself doing an audio check then play it back to see if you hear anything.

No sound. Tried disconnecting/reconnecting all input/output HDMI cables. Only computer is connected via RCAs (for sound only). No sound at all. Audio works on HDTV, which is going from cable box,...

Did the speaker relays light up ? and did you hear the third speaker relays ON clicking sound? If both no, DSP problem. If both yes, DIR problem. If the speaker relays lit up but NO speaker relay clicking sound, check relay driver +24V power supply.

My Pioneer PDR 555-RW keeps reading Mon1 or Moni when I try to record my CD from my mixing board. I need to send this wedding music, and it is trapped in my board. HELP!

That's just a MONITOR indication. It means you can SEE the audio from the selected input on the record level meters for adjustment or other reasons. It won't prevent you from recording. Set your levels then hit RECORD, let it set itself up and calibrate to the disc, start your source and hit Play or Pause to start recording to the disc.

In have an new HP and instulled Audio Audition 1.5 while in multitrack view and am trying to record, I get a "Device ID out of range message" I've tried mostly everything.

Wow, it sounds like you didn't set up a device in the mixer for stereo input, or Adobe deadpanned that you wanted to record mic in and didn't ask to fix that going into multitrack. I've seen that often enough teleconferencing from WinXP swapping audio devices in and out, but by Windows 7 and 2011...this is a surprise. Just activate the appropriate line in in the input mixer in Windows (or more likely, your multitrack input mixer's controls.)

Surely this isn't it, and Adobe wants you to walk through the input level test modules first?

JE 480..I,m trying to connect it to an amplifier. The manual shows 4 rca connectors at the back, going into 4 in the amp. I only have 2 (per channel), in the amp. So I just use two into two. When i play...

Try another recording to eliminate the media as the cause.

Find the two audio OUTs (Left and Right) on the player and plug them into the Left and Right Audio IN's of any available input on the amplifier. It sounds like you're either missing one of the channels or you have them plugged into different inputs.

No signal through main amp

If the speaker relay does not activate, then the amp is in protect mode. There is a problem in that has been detected in the final stage of the amp. You indicate that you have 4V at the power transistors. That is likely the B+ voltage. What is the reading at the other 2 pins? Please post that and I should be able to give you some ideas.

Thanks,
Dan

Mic dont work

If you have one front panel and one back panel mic input port, Front panel is active by default on most systems. Try front first. if that is ok..or even if not, click on sound icon near clock (double click) select input/recording. unmute the mic or check it as input. thanks

How to use aux input on Sigmatel audio 9227.

There are usb record players now. Phonograph recordings use an RIAA curve which is decoded in a stereo preamplifier using the "Phono" input. You can use the Preamp out if you have one on the preamp but you cannot go straight from the phonograph to the sound card because of the RIAA curve -it would sound horrible. You could also try using the headphone output of the preamp to the "Line in" on the computer.Steve Medley

Direct sound is not supported....

Follow these steps (Windows Vista):

Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Sound - Manage Audio Devices - Record - Right click to show all the devices (including the deactivated ones) - Activate all the devices you can.

In Adobe Audition:
Edit - Audio Hardware Setup - Edit View - Control Panel button - Direct Sound Input Ports - Enable one device (default input will now show the device). Now you will be able to record sound.
