Ambet temprature inside fridge when set on 1C

Hi, I have a brand new side by side, model RSJ1kEMH1, the fridge is not getting cold. I have selected the coolest temp on 1, what should the temp fall to inside when selected 1C. I have selected 0C in the cool select zone and the food is not cold and does not last. I have placed a temprature meter inside and when left closed for 24 hrs the coldest it gets is 5-6C when set on 1, surely this canot be corect. What should the temp be inside when set on 1C?

I'm really very dissapointed in this fridge and paid a lot of money for it, my LG frost free when set on 2C freezes the food in tge fridge and last far longer. Milk get sour before the expiery date for excample??? They have replaced the compresor, sensors and board. Also in the mroning sometimes when I open the fridge it has condensated and everything is wet, doors seal and no leaks, they checked, what can we do or what is wrong???!!!

many thx

    Hi,

No the light does not stay on. Inside the fridge there is a thermostat of some sort that measures the temp inside, this was replaced, the compressor and thecomputer board.

Thus my question if you can help is if the fridge temp is placed on one, what should the min or max corresponding temp them be inside the fridge. My LG frost free if set on 1 freezes ecerything inside , yet this one hardly cools the milk or water for that matter?

    Thx

I can't help but wonder if the light is staying on... :)

It certainly sounds like a door seal, but did they replace the thermostat, or is that what you mean when you say sensor?

Hy i have a problem with my fridge freezer , the fridge compartment is acting like a freezer going up to -16

There is normally an adjustment knob inside the fridge, in the back or top to allow you to adjust the coldness. Numbered 1-9.
If you have already adjusted that it would help if I know the type (side by side, freezer on top or below) and the brand. Most side by sides blow some of the air from the freezer side into the fridge side with internal fans and vents. How is the freezer side coldness knob adjusted?
I would set both knobs to 5 and go get yourself a outdoor thermometer to put in each side. It should be about 35 in the fridge and about zero in the freezer. Remember it will be warmer in the top and colder in the bottom of each.
Was the thermostat you replaced in the freezer or fridge?

Cant Get fridge and freezer to cool to correct temp

According to the picture posted the freezer defrost is stuck on. Why it would not get cold enough. Contact a local appliance repairman and get professional help as this should require control board repair/replace.

My mini fridge is a big freezer.

It is the temperature sensor. It is normally attached to the evaporator itself (the freezer part that gets cold).

I have the same problem with my extra fridge in the garage. It has to do with the oil used as a refrigerant in newer models. The cold temprature thickens the oil and it stops cooling. Nothing you can do about it other than opening the door to the fridge to warm the insides up. It works for me. And thank god it's only when it gets very cold outside that this happens. Ps...my garage is insulated and drywalled and it still occors during cold spells.

Temprature settings keep changing by itself. Mostly changes on fridge side..freezer temp stays steady for most part. today....all vegetables froze in fridge...lettuce wad hard as rock....please...

Either the temprature control is malfunctioning or the cold air duct dampers stuck up due to forsting. Switch off the refrigerator for 3 hours and restart.

My fridge is working constantly it stops only when i select zero at the thermostat switch

Sounds like the cold control is bad.Does the fridge work ok otherwise? The cold control is what you are having to turn to 0,and are usually set at midrange.0 to 9,set at 4.The control has a temperature sensitive tube that opens or closes the contacts in the control, and they do go bad. This is where I would start. You can get a replacement control at an appliance shop.Get the model and seriel number of the fridge located usually inside of fridge on a tag on the inside wall.Use these numbers to get the part.Hope this helps.
