Hi,
Problem is adjustment of service data in your TV and please forward below technical information to Sony repairman, he can understand and can perform accordingly...

3-1-4. REGISTRATION ADJUSTMENT
1. Set the service mode to DEM.
2. Display the crosshatch of Test Pattern (see below 1)).
3. Observe the crosshatch, in case of finding out the color is out
of order up or down/right or left, adjust its registration of color
(see below 2)).
R, G, B colors can be adjusted separately.
Note: Don't shift the green.
Adjust the red or blue color to green.
Adjusting color shifts up or down/right or left entirely on the
screen.
Adjustable range: Up or down; 1 ± 1 line
Right or left; 2 ± 2 dots
1) Crosshatch Pattern Displaying Procedure
• Select '5 TEST_PAT' in PANEL service menu.
• Select '2 PAT_ENB' in its sub menu and set the data 0 to 1.
• Select '4 MODE' in its sub menu and set the data 0 to 4.
The crosshatch pattern appears on the screen.
2) Shifting Procedure
[Up or Down]
• Select '1 TG' in PANEL service menu.
• Select '25 VSFT_R' (shifting Red) or '27 VSFT_B' (shifting
Blue) in its sub menu and set the data 0, 1 or 2 to the best.
(Center value: 1)
[Right or Left]
• Select '1 TG' in PANEL service menu.
• Confirm '0 H_SHIFT' data is 0 in its sub menu.
• Select '1 HSIFTR' (shifting Red) or '3 HSIFTB' (shifting
Blue) in its sub menu and set the data 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 to the best.
(Center value: 2)

Thats all and above info are based on concern Service Manual.

The red bulb is out. All TV's have three bulbs, red, yellow, and blue. Since only the yellow and blue bulbs are working, you are getting a green hue. You can try calling around tv repair shops and getting a quote. Depending on what kind of tv you have, it may be cheaper to replace the tv instead of the bulb. The problem is that it either needs degaussing or the color purity is off.

Most TVs have an automatic degaussing circuit. If you unplug it for several hours (3-5 hours), then plug it back in and turn it on, it should degauss automatically.

If that does not work, some of them have advanced digital adjustments, that you can work from the TV Menu and do the degaussing there.

If one of the electron guns is not working, you need a new picture tube or a TV repairman, probably cheaper to replace it.

You can try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

Good luck...

Make sure that you do not have a magnetichc feild around the TV.

By Magnetic field i mean there should not be any gadget near the TV which contains a heavy Magnet. It may continuously create a magnetic
field which will surely create this kind of issue

  • Sameer Kashyap Sep 06, 2008

Turn off the power of the TV. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds on the TV(It wont show anything).
Than turn it on again and check.
    That is known as powercycle

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

Power error 6 times - 11V is low. - No picture/No sound

From my past experience, yes. Not sure about the 11v being low. My kdf 45 acted that way when the main lamp went out. Found a replacement on Amazon for around $45 and now good to go! So far about a year and a half. Have had to replace about 4 for friends and family so far with same symptoms. All worked great! http://www.amazon.com/F93087600-Projection-Replacement-KDS-R50XBR1-KDS-R60XBR1/dp/B005I4OLAS/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1386773721&sr=8-13&keywords=Sony+Sony+Kds-r60xbr2+bulb&tag=donations09-20

Sony wega KSD-R60XBR1 green screen that can not be adjusted no matter what input is used or adjustment through onscreen tv options. how do i knw if it is the color wheel, light engine, or just a bulb

Hi,
It is light engine problem in your Sony KDS-R60XBR2 lcd rear projection tv.
This tv does not have any color wheel because of its light engine technology.
Lamp is just light source that provides bright white light to light engine and its working properly.
Light engine will be replaced to fix green screen problem.

If you tv model is other than above mentioned, let me know to revise this answer.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

Sony TVs has an Optical Block issue. If there is an issue with the optical block, then there will be green, blue patches or tint on the TV display. Try resetting the TV to the factory settings and try Power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then TV may require service. You can contact the Customer relations team and check for the available options. Sony had repaired free of cost for such issues. Hence, contact the customer relations.

KDS-R60XBR2 projection 60'' Sony tv the picture is turning yellow why is this happening

It sems that you are having a problem with you color wheel, that is what makes the variation of color happen in your tv set, if that is not working correctly, it causes either a black and white picture, some times no picture at all or like in your case to much of one color.

Projection sony tv is yellow

Most likely it is the Optical Block. It has been a issue for most of the Sony LCD Rear Projections manufactured over the last 6 plus years. Your Model may still Qualify as a factory recall. What you need to do is to get in touch with Sony's Customer Service at 1800-222-SONY and see if it does Qualify.
If not, it is a expensive repair costing 1200.00 to a 1500.00.
I hope it still does Qualify for a recall,

I have a Sony KDS-R60XBR2 60" SXRD and the power/standby light flashes green 96 times than it switches to a RED lamp light that flashes steady. Do you know what it means?

Green Smear

It sounds like your optical block has failed. If you can see the picture but it has a green smear through the picture, this is likely the problem. Sony has extended the warranty on the optical block and is covering parts and labor for the repair. Contact Sony at 800-222-SONY to schedule a tech to look at the TV and replace the optical block
