Since applying Windows Vista sp1, I, too, have the same problem. Device Manager indicates I don't even have the device! I tried updating drivers but that didn't resolve the problem either. I checked BIOS setting and enabled the adapter...still nothing! HELP!

I also had the same problem, with some notebook Pc's if you go on to your hardrive there should be file containing files such as WLAN and others, in this it had a broadcom repair and instalation.exe, by clicking on this it just reinstalled it and the light went blue and my wireless reapperaed, the file is called SWsetup on mine...

maybe useful!

The troubleshooter says that my wireless capability is turned off. It was working all last night and just randomly quit working.

You have to find the wireless switch because your swith is somehow turned off.
If that does not works go to
Device manager (Right click my computer go to properties, under properties go to hardware and then to device manager) and then uninstall the wireless drivers. Then restart the computer give your computer some time so that it can reinstall the drivers automatically.
99% it will help

try resetting the camera using a toothpick or a paperclip. There is a small hole on the tripod thread on the bottom side of the camera. I hope it helps.

How do I turn on my HP mini notebook wireless connection? It says that the connection is turned off, but it was working fine last night? What happened? HELP!

Look at your notebook's front edge, below the keyboard and touchpad.
To the left of the touchpad you have the on/off switch, to the right there is a wireless on/off switch, with an antenna symbol beside it.

You must have switched it off accidentally :)

Wireless will not light up /turn on

I don't mean to be simplistic, but did you flip the switch to turn it on? I don't see a laptop model in your question, but most laptops have a physical switch on the side, or front which physically disables/enables the wireless card.

My network says that it can't find the internal wireless adapter

You may have to reboot your PC and try to connect again.
If you have "Viewed all available networks" and tried to connect to your Wireless network but cannot what kind of error message are you getting ?

To quickly find out if you have Internet Connectivity coming in at all from your Internet Service Provider turn off your wireless switch on your laptop and try to connect a cat5 directly from your PC ( connect cat5 cable to what looks like a slightly larger telephone jack on the side or back of your laptop) to the back of your router and see if you browse the internet. You may have to reset your router (unplug and plug)

The wireless adapter seems to have disappeared.

hey, heres a list of things to try and the things that could be your problem.
check in control panel, system, device manager see if you see the wireless adapter is in there or if there is any tags with unknown device if there is drivers will need reinstalled, that would be your problem if update caused it.

other things to try is check the side of the laptop for the wireless on / off button or switch to double check the the wireless is turned on, there should be a light if it is.

if there is no meantion of wireless device, and you have tried to turn it on from the switch then its a faulty adapter..

Hope this helps

All the best
