Every time I pair my Samsung SGH-D880 with my car GPS, Garmin Nuvi, the mobile reboots itself, and does this again during making any call.
Also the data on the phone book is not correctly shown on the Garmin GPS.
Ps: Never been through this when I was using Motorolla mobile
I had the same problem : seems that the reason for this, is a double (or multiple) input in the phonebook with the same name : whenever the phone tries to send the contents of the phonebook to the car GPS, it detects the "double" (or multiple) input(s) and does not know what to do with it. Thus the phone blocks ("hangs") and reboots itself. A simple remedy for this : just remove the double input(s) from the phonebook and the problem will be solved.

Run the Garmin WebUpdater once more and apply any updates. Consider downloading and installing the lifetime map update to the computer and then use the Garmin Mapquest or Basecamp computer program to send the map data to the nuvi. Overall, it takes a little longer, but is better than trying to download directly to the GPS itself. If you're not having luck, it will probably be wise to contact Garmin Tech Support. It would be wise to mention the funky "once / month" GPS reboot issue with Garmin at this time too.
I can help you with the phone numbers on your Garmin Nuvi 265WT.
phone numbers transferred to your Nuvi are only supposed to be
available when your phone is paired to your cell phone. Changing the
entry on your phone should allow that entry to show up changed the next
time it is paired with the Nuvi. Sometimes, a bluetooth mix up causes
entries to be duplicated or entries' phone numbers to get repeated.
try a software up grade fro www.garmin.com as 7 series has some soft ware updates , some phones as a pain as software is not fully comapatable, a software fix from your phone supplier may help, email garmin if your phone is compatable
The address books may not be compatible with each other regardless of pairing or not. Best bet is to check on garmin.com in the support section. If it isn't they you can use the dial up on the GPS as well as any other enhanced features that require bluetooth services.
Solution below works for NUVI660 as well; ignore everything after step 6 but DO reboot and delete previously existing connections.
I was having the same problem with my Curve and Nuvi 680. What has fixed this for me is downgrading the Bluetooth firmware version on the Nuvi itself. I was running version 3.0 (you can check your version by going to Settings -> System -> About on the Nuvi) -- I had success after downgrading to version 2.4.
It's a bit of a convoluted process, but here is the procedure I followed:
1. Download the old Nuvi BT firmware from the Garmin Italy website:
Have you tried to re-pair it with your phone? What does the bluetooth firmware version show up as on your Nuvi? If it says 0.0, you need to reflash the bluetooth firmware. You can find the firmware version by selecting the wrench icon, then sekect the gear symbol and then select "About". Use Garmin's webupdater and connect your Nuvi to the PC and let the webupdater reflash yoour Nuvi. Garmin just updated the bluetooth firmware on November of 08 to v3.4 so you would want to do it anyway. When you reflash, you have to repair the phone to the Nuvi because the reflash erases your phone setup.
