Question about GoVideo D2730 DVD Player

1 Answer

Lost CD key code

If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it! I've lost my CD key code (my house was robbed) for my GoVideo D2730. The original company is no more and they people who've taken it over cannot help me at all. I need to wipe my computer system clean due to a virus but if I do I cannot stream my videos anymore....where can I get another key code?

For company's that go out of business...always check the Internet Wayback Machine (Web Archive).

Your CD key is at the bottom of the page.

I have a GoVideo DVR 4300 that has been child locked. I have lost the remote control. Is there any way to unlock it with out the remote?

According to page 16 of the owner's manual, you cannot disable child lock without the remote. Because you have lost the remote, the unit does not offer a manual way to disable that feature. I am not sure if a universal remote will allow you to enter the setup menu, and turn the child lock OFF. You could try that - it might work.

Or you could try contacting them:

Phone (480) 922-0896 or (800) 736-7679 (during business hours)
E-Mail customersupport@sonicblue.com
Web www.govideo.com or www.sonicblue.com

They may or may not be able to offer further assistance. The universal remote might help, if you cannot get the original replacement for your unit.

Personally, child lock in DVD players is a pointless and unnecessary extra feature that should not exist; it should really only apply to Blu-Ray/DVD recorders.

Sounds like your computer only reads certain disc's like dvd-r or dvd+r check to see if the burned disc is the same as the original? Second Could be that you really did not finalize? good luck, safety first..
