Question about Car Audio & Video

1 Answer

Help me with audio please!!!

I purchased a Dual xdvd700 (used)-no manuals no nothing. I hooked up the player in my Camaro and it seems to work great-except I can't hear anything. I can't figure out how to hook the speakers up to the thing. What is this do-it-yourselfer doing wrong

Try this out first if this does not work let me know and I will help you out further if I can. Try disconnecting the battery from the car and let it stand for about a minute. after that reconnect the battery and see if that corrects the problem. As I stated earlier if this does not do the trick let me know I will try to help more.

How to test the xdvd700 before I install in the car. what wires go to possitive and what to negative

Hello there,
Well the wiring colors appear to be standard for most every piece of mobile A/V equipment out there.
Yellow = Battery Power(12V Positive)
Black = Ground / Battery Negative
Red = Vehicle On / 12V+ (or also hook it to the 12V Positive for "always on")

Here's the manual with the wiring diagram on Page 6(page 7 of the PDF):
http://www.dualav.com/support/manuals/xdvd700.pdf

I hope that helps

** Insert Audio CD
** Press Play
** Hit Stop Twice
** Use remote to enter 26604
