Hi there I just got this system of trade me still new in the box no instructions for me to know how to hook them up anyways I got five small speakers and the subwoofter,no remote or dvd came with it I wanted to surprise my husband for fathers day which is this sunday...anyway cut a long story short could you please tell how to put them together I've already tried the sub and that didnt work,I guess everything is to confusing for me please email me as soon as possible;firstname.lastname@example.org or homeline is 09-2630413 or celly 0210616355 dont know where to start many thanks.
First, make sure it didn't get muted, or the remote's volume got turned way down. Next, it might be time to involve a technician who can check all the power supply voltages. Many of today's electronics have multiple voltage power supplys, 5 volts for logic, 12 volts for motors, and amplifiers usually have the biggest- maybe plus and minus 30 volts for a total of 60. There are hazardous voltages in there too, a switching power supply starts with over 300 volts. So don't lick it and see if your tongue tingles, that's only for 9 volt batteries.

i have a jvc th-c60 and only recently started using the system for surround on my tv.
in addition to the surround system, i have a conventional vcr/dvd player. i mention this because i have my cable line routed through the vcr/dvd player - all other connections (audio in/out, etc.) are directly from back of tv to surround unit console. assuming all connections are correct, set the jvc unit to show "VCR" on the unit display AND set your surround option to "All surround". The "all surround" may not the exact term, and not sure what your unit has the same notations, but you should be able to cycle through the surround options and determine when you have sound coming from all speakers. also, on my th-c60 unit, the unit display denotes which speakers are producing sound (or should be producing sound).
and, yes, the college football games sound awesome in surround mode.

Well i had exactly the same problem, my sub turned off right away when
i turned the whole thing on. Well i opened the subwoofer and was trying
to find out something unusual, i took out, i believe, internal amp,
well, whatever that thing is, under the lid. Which one is screwed with
6 copper screws, so you unscrew those screws, lift that lid and that
whole board comes out. On that board i find something like burn around
one of the parts.
you can see it in the pick, the part q2902, then i contacted JVC. At the beginning they said i need to take the whole thing to service center and so on. But later i made them to tell me what kind of part that is, so here :http://www.jvcservice.com/store/ProductDetail.asp?Part=KTC3199/GL/-T
bought soldering gun in home depot for $15, returned after i was done. And that is it, just have to replace it, but total cost only $12 ($5 part +$7 shipping)
