Re: help set up wireless router
Do a hard reset on it first (press and hold down the small reset button for about 10 seconds usually located at the back of it).
On your wireless connection icon, right click then select view available wireless networks, check if it finds your dlink then connect to it. If your router has a wireless key, its gonna ask for it before you can connect to it

As far as I am aware, the only way to reset the pin, is to reset the router to factory defaults. You will then have to reconfigure your wireless settings. To reset to factory defaults:
Plug in the router.
1. Locate the small reset button. It is next to the power jack.
2. Use something to push the button, a paper clip works well.
3.Hold the reset switch down for 10 seconds.
4. Wait for the WLAN light to stop blinking. The router is now reset.
To reconfigure the settings on the router, enter 192.168.0.1 into your browser address bar.
g´day m8, Your D-Link AirPlus G DI-524 Wireless
Router needs a hard reset.
Log in to your
router, go to -> administration -> factory default -> Restore Factory Defaults: =
"yes" Then save settings.
You have now reset
First thing you do is
set your wireless setup in your computer to the same, i.e. no security. Test if there is
connection, if, the start with the setup from the top, beginning with admin
You need to disable the DHCP server on your "slave" wireless router ( the di-524 ). In D-link routers this might be called configuring it to be an "Access point".
When this happens, connecting to the second wireless router should cause your computer to obtain an IP address which is in the range of the first router (that is to say, it will use the first router's dhcp server).
You should be able have your laptop connect with an automatic IP address and have it work.
the default ipaddress for that is 192.168.0.1 you will need to set your computer with a ip address like 192.168.0.2 then you should be able to access it. be sure to change your computer back to DHCP after you reset the router
