I need to change the four wire prong to a three wire prong on ge spectra range. Is this safe?

tes you can use 3 prong the left and right wires go on left and right terminals on stove middle wire goes in the middle.

what type of power cord does your range have? is it a three prong cord or a four pronge cord. If it is a four pronge cord you must make sure that the ground wire is attached correctly on the back of the range. You can refere to your owners manual that came with the range on how to hook up the range cord.

Put the green wire to the frame of the machine

White to nutral, red to a hot terminal, black to a hot terminal and make a place for the green.
