My directional buttons keep scrolling by themselves to the left. Is there a way to turn them off?

I don't think you can turn them off.

Check the mouse in the keyboard it could be at fault rather than your left arrow key/switch. Try pressing the little joystick mouse device in between the G and H key and above the B key to the right when your pointer drifts to the left. If it's the keyboard's joystick then moving it a little and then letting it rest should re calibrate it.
Let us know whether or not the keyboards joystick is the culprit or not so we may continue to help you?

My computer keeps scrolling downward

Hello!

Let's try the easiest possible solution first.
The two 'buttons' for left click, right click, one of which is the apparent problem, require gentle cleaning. A visit to Best Buy or similar store (bring PC), ask a salesperson to direct you to cleaning products for your (point at them) 'buttons'. If it isn't busy one of them might just do it for you; they're nice that way!
Please return and let me know!
Thanks!
Jimm

Vertical scrolling not working

you can activate this by
1. going to the control panel on your vista machine, make sure you are in classic view
(2) double click the mouse icon.
(3) From here you will select the "Device Settings" tab,
(4) make sure your Synaptic Pointing device is highlighted and then click the settings button located directly below the "port" column, this will bring up properties for this device.
(5) With all categories in the left hand column collapsed, select "Virtual Scrolling" here is where you will find the box that needs to be checked to enable vertical and/or horizontal scrolling.
(6) make sure the "Enable Vertical Scrolling" box is checked.
(7) don't forget to hit apply!

Scroll button not working

you should make sure that the drivers are still installed onto the computer and if they are perhaps you simply need to set the keys to perform that task in the keyboard options.
