Does your radio have a knob or switch which is marked as "SQEULCH" If it's a knob just rotate it until the noise stops and then just add a little bit more. It sounds like the squelch is acting a bit slow after you let the transmit button go. If it's a switch I'm afraid it means a trip to a technician for adjustment. BMW

Making random loud bursts.

Connection wires? If your connection wires aren't that great or just won't plug in correctly or are not connected correctly the sound jumps in and out with random loud burst or sometimes a really annoying scratching sound.

make sure nothing is obstructing the plugs (going in), re wrap your wires(if you have the type of speaker with the loose wires you wrap yours) or upgrade your connection wires/plugs.

This may help? :)

This ihome has been playing staticky noises.. It's really annoying PLEASE HELP ME.

Speaker is "blown up" because you have played the volume too loud, im not sure if its expensive or it has hq sound, but you should buy a different one, if you wanna play loud music you should get a bigger one. BTW NEVER play at max vol. or it WILL break if u use it too long.

Very loud "rubbing " sound when driving only

you did damage to the wheel bearing i bet it sounds like a airplane sound. also if you steering wheel is off 7"then have front end aligned because this will destroy the tires and they will make noise.

Washing machine makes a loud rattling sound

Hi.k.
Even though you have cleaned filter, there could still be something in the pump, you need to remove the pump and check there is nothing in it.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Crackling Noise

I can't take credit for this because on found on a review on Amazon.Com, but I tried it and it works!

"Another update, for everyone who is having the common crackling problem, if you open the clock radio there is a black disk on the bottom with a red and black wire coming out of it. This black disk is a component called a piezo disk. They are commonly used to make noise for buzzers in electronic devices, but appear to have no use whatsoever in this clock radio. If you cut the wires going to this disk, the crackling noise goes away. You can still use both buzzer and radio alarms. There doesn't appear to be any functionality lost other than the annoying crackling sound. Obviously cutting wires would probably void your warranty, but do you really want to try your luck with another RCA clock radio? Chances are the crackling will happen again with the replacement or it will be DOA."

If you can handle a screwdriver and a pair of scissors, you can easily tackle this project, don't be worried about it being too complex. 5 screws, a snip, and you are all set. Make sure the radio is unplugged of course.
