My older charger has been sitting for 10+ years and the battery wouldn't take a charge when I pulled it out of storage. How do I remove and replace the battery? Magnum 12 Solar Pak unit.

Take the unit and place it in front of you. place your left hand at the top left hand corner of the solar panel. with the heal of your right hand strike firmly on the bottom right corner of the solar panel. alternatively take a flat head screw driver and locate the divot on either of the short sides of the battery case. below the divot find the edge of the battery case lid and pry the top of using the screwdriver.

After a year in storage, jeep won't work.

the radio runs off of a seperate battery source, so that wouldn't have any effect on this, i would first of all check the battery and charger with a multimeter and make sure that they are showing the correct voltage, if its a 12v battery make sure that they are showing at least 12 volts, if its a 6v battery make sure that its showing at least 6v

Packard bell netbook nav50 battery stopped charging properly. bought a new charger and battery and it still wont charge it up.

LOL, I didn't know Packard Bell was still making computers. I would think they sold you a bad battery. I've purchased new batteries before that would not charge.

I have two Mecablitz 60 CT batteries. They are about 10 years old and have not been charged since March, 2004. Should I dispose of them or can they be repaired for a reasonable cost?

The couple of dryfit batteries I've looked at have been shot. I don't know how old they were. Take a decent modern battery charger (the ones at WallMart are good enough) that will handle 6 volt and AGM batteries. Clean the contacts and jury rig a way to connect the charger to the battery terminals. If the charger doesn't register anything, it's likely the batteries have died. They will actually completely dry out inside, becoming inert. I've used $20 AGM batteries from Batteries Plus and they seem to work fine (though you either need to make a battery adaptor, or cut out the side of the battery pack to get them to fit.

Bought a Nikon Coolpix S3000 (orange) for my daughter after Christmas. It just stopped working one day; wouldn't charge, no lights or come on. The battery it came with is a Nikon lithium ION Battery...

Read page 16 of the manual. Do not use any other charger with this camera. Are you sure you have the battery inserted correctly? When trying to charge, does the green light blink? If so, when it stops blinking and turns off, the battery should be fully charged. Do not attempt to turn the camera on while the charger is trying to charge the battery.

The gyropter will not charge when I plug it in

Hi,
Check the charger adaptor if it has any output power. If no power comes out replace the adaptor.
Check also the battery terminal, it might already corrode and needs clean up.
If all does not work, the battery in the helicopter is already malfunctioning.

hope that helps you out!

My battery for canon camera 550d flashes orange when charging, its been 4 hours now and it hasnt turned green yet.. I am charging it first time.. is this normal

Okay what happens sometimes is the charger gets into a feed back loop. What to do is remove the battery unplug the charger wait a few seconds (Maybe 20/30) plug the charger back into the outlet and then put the battery back in the charger. It should start to charge again and a few minutes later go to the blinking for full charge green.

It'll happen the other way as well meaning if the battery gets a memory (they say they don't but they do) you need to unplug the battery let is sit till it's cool and put it back on charge again. I've had this problem many times and have put it on charge and back off several times with in 15 minutes before it started to charge as it should.

Also these batteries do have a life span and if it's a three year old battery with many charges it could be failing meaning it just won't take a full charge.

Is the 10 amp se-40ma battery charger to big for my motorcycle battery can it over heat or over charge it

A battery that might sit for a month at a time, would only need a trickle charge or about 1 amp, a charger of this type can stay hooked to the battery for the whole month. A 10 amp would be for a quick charge or only about 4 - 12 hours depends on how fast the battery lost the charge. A 10 amp charge would cook the battery if left for days.
