Question about Mitsubishi WD62628 62" Projection HDTV

1 Answer

No video in any of the TV inputs

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 DLP TV. Today when I turned it on, there was no image only a green screen that looks like a scrambled signal. The sound is good. It happens to all the inputs, cable, DVD, Antenna1 antenna 2, Composite inputs, etc. However, whe i go into the TV set up menu and the Netcommand menus the blue screen is clear and I can go and set up the TV inputs and what not. Any suggestions? the TV is 4 years old.

First try resetting and rebooting. reset = menu, 2470, enter.
reset is press reset button and wait for green lite to stop blinking.
if that takes care of it great. if not it sounds like a signal board or dm problem and will need repair. check out www.tv-techs.com

There are flickering, rainbow-like color bands running across the screen, especially in the component inputs, not so much using the HDMI input, but still there.

Hi,if your tv is and Lcd rear projection it will be the light engine that needs replacement.Because lcd technology uses 3 chips green, red and blue that create the image and colors. When they start to fail you will get what you are getting color discoloration and rainbows. If your tv is DLp it will be the dmd chips which basically its like the lcd chips but instead of 3 chips its only one that creates the image.Hope this works God bless you!

Unplug tv from wall wait 30 secounds and plug back in.

If that does not work you will need to have someone look at the powersupply.

Best settings for moderate to low light viewing?

Using your remote, click the "video" button (mid area, Right hand side) and adjust the brightness, contrast, etc., to your liking. Only you know what you like. If your picture can be "plenty bright enough"...then just make the necessary adjusts to whatever looks best to you. If your picture is "very dim" no matter what the video settings are, you need a complete cleaning of all lens, mirrors, and screen...and possibly a new lamp.

62' DLP WD-62525

Since the set turns on and displays this message we can asume the set is working, so for the next step simply change inputs and see if something comes up, either there is nothing hooked to input 1 or the device hooked to input 1 is off or has failed
