I ordered a keyless chuck for my drill just under three weeks ago. How do I find out when it will be sent to the service center (800 Thorndale Ave). They never answer the phone!

You would have to call the place where you ordered the chuck from to find this information and also the place where your drill is, I would have thought that them being a service center they would have one or taken care of the ordering for you or at least that is the way I do it..

Dewalt keyless chuck stuck

nope... make sure there isn't a screw in the center of it... look inside... then take a 3/8th's hex key, tighten the chuck down on the short end of it and smack the long end of it with a hammer. the chuck will unscrew... go get a new one

Milwaukee1/2 magnum hammer drill keyless chuck stuck closed

yes call 1-800-sawdust that's the Milwaukee factory number. They can tell you what the spindle and thread sizes are so you can order a keyed chuck. They should even be able to tell you what chuck they have that will fit it.

Mybrand new RZ20 keyless chuck will not close around a bit.

If a large enough drill bit is inserted too far so it bottoms in the chuck, the jaws run into the bottomed shank and will not close beyond a certain point due to the interference. If you hold the drill bit out about 1/2 inch from the bottom, the jaws should close on the bit. I assume you have tested the chuck without a bit to verify they can close.

How can I replace the keyless chuck on my Dewalt DWD215G?

Open the chuck wide open. In the center is a retaining screw, they usually have left hand threads. Remove the screw. Take an allen wrench1/4" to 3/8" in size and fasten the short side tightly in the chuck. The chucks are usually right hand thread, so take a small hammer and strike the allen wrench to turn the chuck to the left to loosen it. Once you have the chuck off, verify the thread size of the drill motor shaft, then go to McMaster-Carr and choose the one you need.

I can not change the drill bit. Do I need another tool?

that depends on whether or not you have a keyed or keyless chuck. if you have a keyless chuck then you do not need another tool you must turn the chuck counter clockwise to loosen the chuck and replace the bit. if you have a keyed chuck then you will see three holes around the chuck of the drill ie the part that holds the bit. just below the holes you will see teeth spaced evenly around the drill. a chuck key allows you to put the end of the key in one of the holes and using the teeth you turn the chuck key thereby loosening the chuck and allowing you to change the bit. if you have a keyed chuck just take it to your local hardware store and they can provide you with the correct key and show you how to remove the bit. if your chuck is keyless the hold the chuck put the drill in reverse and pull the trigger use a glove to protect your hand

KEYLESS CHUCK WAS JAMMED WITHOUT DRILL BIT. I loosened it but now one of three teeth sticks out further than other two. How do I get them back in alignment? Black and Decker VP825 type 1.

You can't the teeth inside are either broke or it skipped. The easiest thing to do is buy a new key less chuck from your local home center and replace it a cheap one goes for about $9.99.
