Check ur sleep timer program for monitor most are defult 30min, or 60 min, turn it off .try unpluging monitor when it heppens then pluging it back in.also when u change computer u had same problem mite be windows changed settings ,u could hookup to as many computers as u want same thing will happen if you are runing windows vista or xp ,monitors are smart now the talk to your computer its not like the old vga days when on was on off was off .that said check setings in control panel for power options setting , change settings to turn off monitor after 2 hours turn off harddrive to never and system standby to never, also change windows screensaver to 75 min,. Then go into settings program for monitor (the buttons on front of thr monitor) change to manual. turn off monitor sleep mode and or standby mode. You allso mite check driver for ur monitor in windows defult dose not work all the time.seeing you seem to be handy look at the svga or dfi plugs on monitor make shure the are clean a crusty dusty plug can make the signal from computer or monitor too week over a few min, of time. also is vga card and computer clean of dust.
