Question about Dell Inspiron 2200 PC Notebook
The AC/DC Converter works, but nothing, not even lights when I hit the power button.
Your motherboard is fried, and it probably needs to be replaced. But this is expensive, and you best bet is to just ditch the laptop and buy a new one or another one. Ebay.com has really great deals on laptops, new and used. Also, if you are wanting to buy from a specific company, most companies have outlet stores within them, where they sell laptops that have been built already/refurbished, and the customer had changed their minds about buying them or getting thems ent back. You can get a really great deal by using this purchase option as well.
