ok, first of all i see your mouse there,
that is wireless mouse if it is wireless the battery dead inside is first. first things first they say....
and that is not supported now by HP at all. they ended support on all HP wireless mice and keyboards,
only the most new ones are support
and like you and the OP no OS stated, windows what.?

My hp wireless mouse was working fine with my hp mini laptop all the sudden stopped working

My first guess is it could be the batteries. Have you tried changing it?

If it still won't work then I suggest reinstalling it.

Thanks for using Fixya!
