Leading cause of paper jams is debris/foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please follow steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris in the cartridge carrier's path or the paper path.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again.

Paper wont load

The obvious thing is to turn the printer off, remove paper tray, take out the paper, look to see if anything clearly amiss with either the printer or the paper tray itself, reflll the paper tray with a moderate quantity of preferably fresh paper - though this should not matter - and replace the newly-loaded tray. Turn the printer back on and see if it works or not. You may also try single sheet manual feed if this available for your printer.

Loading the Paper: When loading paper, fan the stack of paper before placing it in the tray. This will shake out any paper dust and reduce any static in the paper, two major causes of paper mis-feeds.
- Place the paper in the tray under the tabs.
- Do not fill above the "PAPER FULL" mark.
- Guides Adjust the tray for the correct paper size.
Recommended Media: Use paper specified for the printer
When printing on heavy / thick types of paper, it is best to use the manual feed tray at the front of the printer. This will Provide a straighter paper path to Prevent potential paper jams.

I'm trying to print custom size papers. I've selected the mph on the printer with the settings for paper type. I've selected manual on the computer, with the settings for paper type and size....

What sort of printer are you using?
The printer may have a feed switch, which allows you to choose the feed location. Sometimes this physical button on the printer will override any software settings.

My printer keeps showing the message "Clear paper jam, then press (check mark), there is no jammed paper in the printer.

If I load my paper at the 'proper' height, it will not feed. If I push the paper down too far, I get a 'paper jam' message. What works for me (even though it's a royal pain) is to feed 1 sheet of paper at a time. Put 1 sheet in so it's level with the top of the feed tray, then gently push it down 3/4 of an inch. That works for me. Good luck.
